Welcome back to the Player Of The Season (POTS) and hope you all have enjoyed your 'long hot summer!'
A few slight changes this season - these are 1- Votes will close either after 4 days or on the morning of the next match - whichever is sooner. 2 - In the event of a player having same amount of points , it will then be decided on the qty of POTM followed by Podium places.
As always only ONE player can be nominated (if more than one nominated your first will be taken) and points are awarded as 3points for 1st 2 points for 2nd and 1 point for 3rd.

2023 - Louis Appere (Hoskins 2nd with half a point diff)
Wow, that was close, how did that happen? If only Hoskins had put away that penalty at Exeter (?), he surely would have won what many people believe is his birthright. Maybe this will be his year, now he doesn't have the competition from Louis. On a more sensible note, well done to Gutts for being the only person to have won the POTS twice.

It has to be either a defender or an attacker, as the midfield was completely anonymous. Whether that is their fault or not I don't know as we spent the whole game just lumping the ball forward. Awful game to watch.
Anyway I'll give it to Hoskins as at least he ran around a bit and as far as I can remember he is the only player on our side who had a shot.

Be careful, you’ll be on the naughty list soon. Positivity only please. Yes we only had one shot, but what a lovely shot it was.

Morton for me. The only one who posed them problems attack wise, especially in the first half.
