You reckon David Bower is going to walk away from NTFC poorer than when he rocked up then?

You obviously don't understand that we were very much a special case and to be honest I don't care if he makes a substantial profit, he saved us and to quote Manny "FACT".

I honestly have no idea. The cobblers is a unique situation though. If it was only about money though for Bowler with what he has pumped into the club and how long it’s dragged on I’m sure he could have had a better return elsewhere.

Anyone investing in any lower league club is throwing money away. Also don’t get the tin pot argument, say by some magic we were in the prem in a bigger ground does that make us tin pot as our attendances in comparison would be pitiful?, are Brentford tin pot or just overachievers?

If we were in the Premier League with  a bigger stadium we would get 20-30K, capacity depending. I reckon a lot of those 41K who went to Wembley would reappear to watch us against the likes of Man City and Liverpool. We got 24K at the old ramshackle County Ground in 1966 to watch the Fulham game and about 23K to watch Chelsea over Christmas that year, I was at both games.

Northampton has a much bigger population now so surely we would beat those crowds. The chances of us ever being in the Prem seem too remote to care though as we never seem to attract major investment despite our prime geographical location. We would not be tin pot, in my opinion anyway.

Totally agree Grumpy. Many on here probably don't.

Ok that’s on me. I didn’t mean for it to become speculation on attendances should we climb the league, there’s another very long, boring and repetitive thread for that. It was more the pseudo class argument where teams should know there station. Personally I like the English pyramid where if teams are successful on the pitch, no matter size or attendances they can rise up the leagues. If it makes you happy to ridicule them for them for their lack of support then so be it.
