Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

A couple of nights ago I awoke violently with my leg like iron, absolutely paralyzed by cramp. I jumped out of bed in dreadful pain and started hopping around trying to rid myself of the infliction. In doing so I crashed a toe on my other foot against the leg of the bed. I heard and felt a dreadful crack. I was then in pain in both legs. So, some 48 hours later my toe is as swollen as I’ve ever seen. It’s black and purple and I’m not sure the nail will stay on. It is so painful I can’t tell you. I can put no weight on it at all and walking is very difficult. Clearly, I must have broken the toe. I’m told there is no point going to the doc or hospital as there would be nothing they could do. Anyway, to the point. Could I please nominate myself for the ‘Knock of The Week’ award. I’ve never won anything in my life (well apart £25 on the premium bonds about 4 years ago) and it would be terrific if could win this week’s award. Here’s hoping …..
Sounds to me like me is trying to wangle a deadline day deal with The Mighty Cobblers. I recommend no more than a pay as you play deal.

Obviously JB has been reading this forum because in his post match interview today he mentioned "that a couple picked up knocks in last week's game" How long the current 'knocks' will keep them out for is unknown because these 'knocks' could mean anything from a broken toenail to a broken leg.

After the game I was surprised to hear the Corby Town manager on the radio saying that he's got several players out at the moment with "Knocks"!
Is it something in the water?

It just might be that the organisers of the league has made the part-timers play NINE games in the first 27 days!

In all seriousness, you have to ask just how injured these players are? In Sunday football in my day if you "felt your ankle" it would be laughed off. "Yeah run it off son" The physio department at Pattishall Rangers was a bucket of cold water and a sponge! Now i know we are talking about players' careers and livelihoods. But come on lads WE (or those that go more regularly than me) pay your wages now get out there and perform. I realise this post will get shouted down, but have a think about for a minute. Danny Hylton last season, did he really fancy it? Easy to feign injury when the threshold is "felt a tweak boss" isn't it?

The winner of the award this week is - ALI KOIKI Injured/knock somewhere between the last game and during the international break Looks like whatever the knock is it will keep him out for some time according to JB.

Players have too much say in the game. If they say they are injured these days then they injured period. I would surmise that often it isn't the case, they may not be 100% but who is? Certainly not me and I keep turning up day in/day out to earn my living. I know it is just about still a contact sport and injuries happen, but to be injured in training I mean wtf is going on?

Players can get injured in training you know. I do a lot of running and it is not often the training runs rather than actual races where you might suffer an injury. Say players train 5 days a week for 3 hours so that's 15 hours, and have 1 game a week for 90 minutes that is 90% of their time training physically so much more chance of picking up a "knock" in training than a game?

I've found, over the years, that a good percentage of injuries occur outside of the game environment.
