That was poor. The positive is we have some good players to come into the side when fit.
Need to get players like Hoskins (not scored since March) on his toes.
My bum certainly didn’t leave the seat untill the 93rd minute.

Poor game, even poorer finish by Hoskins at the end, he has to score that chance end of.

Excellent, any crabs?
Sorry Bingers, no fish or meat for Baldy. I know that my mate Shoemender is a fish fan though.

Obviously you had to get the Hoskins dig in . Actually, it was a decent shot very well saved, and even then it hit the post. Excellent lay-off from Martin. Forgettable game overall. Both sides were poor, but at least we got a point.

Strange game that. Very little quality from either side in the final thrid. Just constantly picking out the wrong ball and choosing wrong options for the windy conditions.
Positives though I thought defensively we were good. Didn't really feel in danger of conceding. Can see positive signs of what's to come with players like McGeehan and Chouchane. Great to see Sowerby back as he's such a big difference to the side.
Really would have liked to have a Fosu on the bench and disappointed that McCarron got so little time to impact the game.
Strange performance from Koiki I thought. Did a few things really well but chose the wrong option so often and was suprisingly negative at times. Good player and maybe a bit rusty but like I say strange performance.

Well that was absolutely shocking. We hit the post in the 2nd minute and again in the 92nd and then there was nothing in between. I thought Burton were marginally the better side and had they anyone up front who knows where the goal is they would have won.
Why oh why on a windy day do we continue to hoof the ball up front in the hope that one day one of our players might gain possession, they outmuscled us all through the game. Also why did we hammer the ball back to Burge all the time when he was struggling to control it. his kicking is also woeful. I thought Koiki was particularly bad, thought he was like a fish out of water and as for McGeehan getting man of the match that was bizarre to me, I thought he had a poor game. Morton ran his socks off, but to no avail and I thought Guthrie and Baldwin did well at the back. Chouchane showed promise I thought and I hope he can grow into games as he plays more.
Why is it though we continually manage to pick up injuries, we badly missed Fosu today and Mbete. I did get the impression from Brady after the game that there is nothing much wrong with them and they were rested more than anything else, which would seem a bit odd as we don't have a game next week. Maybe I misunderstood JB.
As for Eaves, when the hell is he ever going to be fit, I'm beginning to think he is just a mythical character, I have never seen him. I hope Tyler Roberts wasn't watching that game or else he will want to go back to Birmingham.
Let's hope things improve by the next game.

Shame really but Morton is not going to be any benefit to the side in his current position ( up front on his own ) nothing against him at all as he always gives 100 %. Wilson looked even further detached when he came on. Looks like Brady has got the wrong forwards in if that's the type of football he is going to continue playing. We look fairly decent in most positions apart from up front.

Thought McCarron looked very good when he came on, not on for long enough though. Are we "managing his minutes"? If not he needs to start.

But for their 'keeper deflecting Hoskins shot onto the post in added time we would have had an undeserved win. Not much quality on show from either team but we created very little and turned over possession on too many occasions. Losing both Fosu and Mbete was a blow and I thought Koiki had a poor game as in the first half he was getting caught on the wrong side of his man, he often gave the ball away, made an awful back pass to Burge but he did make a crucial tackle in the box.
We started brightly and should have taken the lead in the first 3 minutes but then went flat for the rest of the half. Hondermarck, Pinnock and later in the half Hoskins all made the wrong choice and shot from distance when there were better options to develope the attacks. Burton were mostly restricted to shooting from outside the box and it was good to register our first clean sheet. Chouchane had a tidy game, Morton gave his usual 100%, I liked McCarron running at their defence and good to get Sowerby back as we are better with him in the team.
When we have both Fosu and Roberts in the team I think we will look a much better prospect. We now have 2 weeks to work on the team, let's hope we don't pick up any more knocks.
Sam Sherring was at the game today and when he returned to his seat for the second half he got a lot of black looks.

Nothing much to add really - it was that kind of a game. I would have liked to have seen a bit more ambition from us as they were really poor and will definitely be in the bottom half - instead going by Brady’s body language we were happy with the point in the end. I was pleasantly surprised by Baldwin - he and Guthrie had a good relationship and both played well but there will be much tougher tests to come than having to deal with an isolated Orsi. I’m starting to think that Pinnock has some incriminating photos as I can’t think of another reason why he plays 90 minutes every week - surely when Fosu and Roberts are available he will make way. Roberts was sitting in the Directors area, at least he was in the first half - whether he came back for the second half is another question.

He would have stood a better chance than most out there today. Really is that the best we have!? 3 points there for the taking and we bring on 3 defenders, a defensive CM and a 49 year old striker that can’t move.

Well said mate, for some reason the skids on here get all upset if you criticise the imp, personally he adds very little apart from goals which have completely dried up.

They certainly aren’t contributing anything and we would benefit from seeing a different option or two upfront.
