Marco Gabbiadini scoring from the halfway line against Cardiff was a sight to behold, the Luton fan in a Saints shirt being escorted from the West Stand, and then spending the rest of the game making rude gestures from the south stand. And a very large gent being asked if he’d ever seen his d1ck by the West stand wags
The Gabbiandini goal was at Ninian Park, Cardiff, I was there with my Cardiff supporting son in law. We won that game 2 - 1 with, I think, Forrester getting the other goal. We lost the Sixfields game 1 - 0 and Cardiff went up that year. I was sitting with the Cardiff fans and they all applauded Marco's goal.

This was a good game featuring the mighty Larry and John Gale. The one where the Cardiff fans got battered climbing the hill.
This one is a great little video of the opening featuring the late Martin Aldridge and Ray Clemence, along with the now 85 year old John Barnwell. I am sure someone will recognise some of the fans interviewed, they might even pop on here although they won't all still be around!?

I remember Gabbiadini being utterly unplayable one game, although sadly he was playing for Darlo at the time! Scored 2 and made a third before being substituted off to a standing ovation from all sides of the ground. I think Beckford received a similar accolade after putting 3 past us for Leeds.
I was so excited to sign Gabbas based on that performance. He was undoubtedly still a great player on his day, but never really hit the heights he did that day.

Speaking of classy players, I remember the Huddersfield fans wafting 20 pound notes at Smudger - before the advertising hoarding fell on them and the match was abandoned!!!!
I think that was the game the unfortunate Rico finally broke his duck after loads of near misses only to have it rendered null and void.

Oh, and the St John's ambulance crew dithering to come on to assist an injured Danny Senda, only for Chris Doig to snatch the stretcher from them and run to him with it, cue a rousing chorus of "are you Millwall in disguise?" from the visiting fans! Not Sixfields related but it popped into my head when thinking of Millwall - I know they are often a bunch of nobheads but they also made me laugh when a load of them took to patrolling their streets during the London riots, only instead of singing their traditional "No one likes us" song they were singing "No one loots us"!

We have only scored 6 goals twice at Sixfields. Harrow Borough in the FA Cup in 2016 and Crewe in the League where we won 6-2 in 2011 so must have been that game. Sammo was sacked the following month!
Thanks Wadey indeed it was Crewe. Still astounding to think after that performance and Liverpool away Sammo got treated so poorly.

The 1 game that sticks with me the most is beating Oxford in the final game of the season to stay in the football league
If we had lost that day nit sure we would have a club now

I remember the game against Fulham when a hole was discovered in the pitch near the goal and the game was stopped while it was fixed.
The same happened at AFC Wimbledon over night Looks like a tricky bunker shot.

Anymore? I'll give it a couple of days and then rig a draw. Something to take our minds off of getting dealt with on Saturday

Seeing a young Cristiano Ronaldo struggle against Chris Carruthers.
Marc Richards lifting the League Two trophy.
Sean Dyche Brexit tackle (the reddest of red cards).
Sammo testimonial.
All particularly fond memories from Sixfields.

Watching the Sixfields Tavern burn down as we came back from 2-0 down to win in the FA Cup. I think Calvert Lewin got two that day,

Calvert-Lewin scored the 3rd goal, Sam Hoskins the 1st and Jason Taylor the 2nd.

Another favourite memory - Beating Sc***horpe 3-0 and seeing Charlie Goode wind up Van Veen all match to the point where he got sent off.
I'm sure I saw Bradley Johnson do similar but I can't for the life of me remember who.

Blimey, its been 3 decades!! I have been twice with Wrexham, including that debacle 1-4 defeat when 2 players and assistant got sent off! The 2nd time was a rather boring 0-0 at the start of the season circa 2004 or 5.
