I'm late to the thread, but I got to say that result was brilliant..pinnock for me stood out as one of his best games in a cobblers shirt. Well played, lads. Up the cobblers!

He played well but he was fortunate to still be on the pitch when, after getting a relatively soft yellow card, he grabbed the shirt and stopped 'a promising attack' on the halfway line, which is a mandatory caution.
I'm sure that the referee showed leniency but we could have been down to ten men a lot earlier than we were.
Giving the Official a decision to make is idiotic, especially when we were in such a good position, 45 minutes with ten may have seen a different outcome.

I think this finally puts to bed any doubt we are a better team without Hoskins in it. FACT.
Great performance to a man, thought Burge looked a bit suspect but more than made up for his flapping at crosses with the pen save.

He spanked you two seasons running and you've never forgiven him. It's possible that his time has now passed and others are stepping up to fill his boots. We should be thankful for his contribution  Wink

If Hoskins was playing we’d have won either 4-1 or 5-1, I can’t decide?

As we are running a bit short of wing backs, he may be playing on Saturday, albeit not in a position where Manny `n` Marvo can have digs at him.  Grin

I'm all for the little man bench warming if we play like that every week. Handy option to come on, especially in a cup game going to pens.  Tongue
Joking aside it is good that we can turn out a performance like that with key players missing. It will take JB the entire season to work out what his strongest 11 is, especially as you can pretty much guarantee that he is never going to have everyone fit to choose from. However, these days you definitely have to adapt your team and approach to the opposition.

Pardon

I'm obviously out of practice, it's been a while since I last used my Parade Ground voice.

Strange things these computers. Before Saturday the Chron listed the super computer had us finishing the season in 18th place. After our stunning victory it now has us finishing in 19th place. We had better stop winning games or we will soon be relegated.
