Probably had a better view than you in all honesty.

General thoughts seem to align with the vast majority.

Are you sure you were at the right game?

3 might be a crowd in your group of friends but try a reality pill.

Eaves is available for Tuesday!

Stats do tell a story, we had 28 touches in the box to their 17, our GK only made 1 save to their GK's 8. Again dominance of possession (we had 65%) counted for nothing, similarly at Crawley who had 68.6% possession but like us lost 0-2 to Bolton. I watched the majority of that game before leaving for Sixfields and on that showing and our performance yesterday we are quite capable of getting a result on Tuesday night. Crawley for all their possession and playing some nice passing football had no end product and against a better side Bolton would not have won.

Which Tuesday? My monies on the 8TH october, along with Hondermark, Dibley Dias, and Magloire. But we will hear words like "managing their minutes" used.

I was told yesterday, by one of the clubs personnel, that he was injury free and wants to play!

I am looking forward to a front 3 of Roberts, Eaves and Fosu.

Frustrating game yesterday, but nice to see us attacking fluently, even if there was no end product. I'm in the camp that says we played well overall and it was one of those days where the opposition took their chances and we didn't. These things happen. The important thing is to maintain the increase in the number of chances we're creating - and of course, make sure Sammy is on the pitch when we get a penalty.

Regarding Eaves, I'm also keen to see him play, but it remains to be seen whether that should be in a three with Roberts and Fosu. Not convinced that Roberts and Eaves will be "compatible" strike partners.

Dreadful penalty. Looks at least as bad on the highlights. I was thinking as soon as we got it, I wish Sam was on the pitch. It would have been very relevant and we would have gone on to win the match.

Like virtually everyone else here thought we were very good creatively 1st half but missed key chances.  We really didn't impose ourselves at the beginning of the 2nd half and paid for it. They looked a solid outfit at this level. Goalkeeper as good as Nigel Clough suggested post match.

Roberts is looking pivotal to our play. That mazy run and shot just outside the box after we'd gone behind would have made an excellent goal.

Referee had a good game.

I know emotions run high straight after a defeat but comments like 'pathetic' and 'dogsh*t' are very much ott. I thoroughly enjoyed the game but having had 3 clear chances and a penalty in the first 45 with nothing to show for it meant they probably felt luck was on their side. A good performance but no points and the fact that we are now only one point off the drop zone does give cause for concern.

Did anyone else notice literally 3/4 of the ground empty after their 2nd goal? People always leave in that circumstance but never known that much of a mass exodus..

Any one know why there was a block of empty seats in the West Upper? Most games the same and seem to be permanently not available?

I think they are reserved seating for players families, guests etc. I am sure someone more in the know than myself will be able to confirm.

I watched the Barnsley v Stockport game on TV last night and boy was it a boring match. Despite the fact both teams are above us in the table, on the evidence of yesterdays matches I don't think either side are us good as us or Mansfield.

If we can keep our main players fit I am sure we will be fine this season.

Nothing to do with the Saints kicking off at 5:30 and people trying to avoid the traffic congestion then?

Well do you think if we'd gone 2-0 up with a couple of minutes to go loads of people would have left to avoid the potential traffic congestion?

No idea, it was a rhetorical response to a stereotypical post! What do you think?

I have never understood people leaving before the final whistle unless they are tight on time to catch a bus or train. I wonder how many goals they missed last season given the number of goals we scored in added time.

I diidn't think the original post was particularly stereotypical, possibly a slight exaggeration though and no.

To be honest I haven't seen us as much live this season as I have wanted too, but I can easily say we are a better team this year than last.

We played really well Saturday and probably one of our better performances we have put in for a long while, but if you don't take your chances it will always come back to haunt you, I am not getting too upset over this one as we are more than capable of competing in this league, just need to be more clinical.

Just a few to pick out

Roberts - looks exceptional, cant believe people were actually shouting get rid and pass it when he got the ball, its about time we had someone who was willing to turn and just run at the opposition.
Fosu - looks a great signing, but, I think he is bit of loose cannon and potential cause a bit of wedge in the dressing room, looks very stroppy when he isn't being passed the ball, not a problem people wanting the ball but you have to back it up with goals and scoring penalties, would rather have him than play against him.
Chouchane - cool and calm looks player
Mbete - Really surprised how good he actually was, still young enough to improve further as well.
Baldwin - looks very assured after his error at Barnsley he has kicked on, struggling seeing Willis replace him.
