I think we might have got ourselves a good one.

I agree. He’s ambitious and passionate. I hope he turns it to be so good we can’t keep him..

I feel the squad has achieved a great points total so far and look forward to having a choice of forwards available for the first time this season!

Heard his post match interview where he's 'not happy' with us singing "The Teyn are staying up".

I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't sung at every game, when winning, for the foreseeable future now. Smiley

Did he hold the same view I did about the chant?

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!

We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

Perhaps we should sing "The Town are going up" instead. Or is that creating unrealistic expectations that put too much stress and pressure on all concerned.

Maybe keep the chant entirely factual rather than subjective.

“The Town are 17th”

Does the job 😝

In keeping with the spirit of this forum and our overall love of split part singing, perhaps some could chant "The Town are 17th", whilst others then respond with a nice loud "FACT", and then the roles are reversed. If we can sometimes manage "We're the left side" etc, I reckon it's doable, but somebody will need to keep tabs on the in match live standings - thank goodness for the Internet.

Instead of “ we’re going uuuuup, we’re going up, we’re going up etc”
We just sing “ we’re moving up”
Job done.

That’s a very old chant last sung in the Brady L2 days and before that Wilder. Remember it well’

My experience of that area, is that they all have a scouse accent. Still, those chirpy Liverpudlians view themselves as not being English anyway.

The bookies have us around 5/2 for relegation after Saturday's results, going out from 2/1 in the morning.
We've been hovering around evens the past few weeks, so you can understand the "We are staying up" chants on Friday night. Mind you, that shouldn't be a surprise as according to the chants, we are also "By far the greatest team the World has ever seen"

Eeaye, eeaye, eeayeo
Up the football league we go,
When we get to 16th, this is what we'll sing
We are the Cobblers, we are the Cobblers
Nolan is moaning!

Coat time...
