A succulent Chinese meal?!
Seven small but delicious courses, one of which was Lobster. Not really oriental. We ate the meal in a revolving restaurant which I seem to recall was at the time the 6th tallest building in Hong Kong. This occurred over 30 years ago when Hong Kong still belonged to the British. The meal was very expensive, almost £100 if I remember rightly which was a lot of money back then, anything that was imported cost a fortune, a Mars bar in the hotel fridge was £5. The next day we took a bus, about 10p, and ate at McDonalds which was less than £2 for two meals. Good experience but never been back.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!
We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

I still reckon we have enough points already but if we can’t get another one (at least) at home to the rock bottom club….well. Not looking good for our buddies Rovers.

Big day Monday, HUGE in fact. I’d fancy Rovers to get something so we really need the win. It’s the ideal fixture, home to the already relegated bottom club. If we don’t win that then do we deserve to stay up? I’m trying not to worry, but I am(!) Need the key players fit. Taylor will be back and NGW, hopefully Hoskins. Score first and put them to be with ease (please)!

I really don’t get all the ‘we have enough points already’ or adversely ‘Monday is a must win game’. At this time of the season trying to be definitive is just pointless. Anything can happen, Bristol Rovers could have easily won today. Teams can easily win a few on the bounce or lose a few.

In all fairness. I thought the same about us today. I never saw the Wrexham game. But I’m sure we probably gave a better account of ourselves at Charlton, than they did at Wrexham.. Admittedly, that is a pure guess at the moment.

Just took a Quick Look at the stats from both games. We dwarfed Rovers effort at Wrexham. Funny old game ain’t it.. 😁

Could really do with this ‘absolute class’ Roberts chap for the run in.
Do you know when he arrives?

Given the other results and the way we are playing we are not going down. Bristol Rovers either need 2 wins or given the goal difference one win and 2 draws, and we also need to get nothing from the next 3. It’s possible, but realistically it’s hardly likely. I suggest everyone get a grip.

Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

I don’t necessarily think we have but wouldn’t be surprised if we do. If we lose the last 3 games we probably deserve to go down. We won’t. I’d be gob smacked if anything is riding on the last game of the season for us but we rarely make things easy.

You just need to look in league 2 right now, there would have been a lot of clubs and their fans thinking they’d already done more than enough to secure their league status. Three Carlisle wins on the spin, one against the inform top of the table team and now they’re suddenly not quite sitting as comfortably. Expect the unexpected.
