Game on tomorrow which will be Nolan’s first home game in charge. It’ll be a game of two halves during which we may or may not score some goals and may possibly concede some goals too. Our team will be whoever is fit enough to lace their boots and most likely enough to be able to give Kev a selection headache for all the wrong reasons. Goode, Appere and Simpson are all too good for Teyn having moved on to bigger things. Revell, Revell your teeth are too white. Revell, Revell your team is sh1te.
Someone else can tell the stats and who the ref is. Happy New Year.

Until recently we had an excellent record against Stevenage but they have won the last 3 meetings. Overall we have 12 wins, 4 draws and 4 defeats and in the 10 home games we have won 6, drawn 3 and lost 1 (last season) and Stevenage have only scored 4 goals in those 10 games. Along with Burton they are the divisions lowest scorers with 18 goals (2 clean sheets coming up) and in their 21 games they have only 4 times scored more than 1 goal (all at home) and they have failed to score 9 times. Defensively they are good and only 3 teams have conceded fewer goals, they have an impressive 11 clean sheets in their 21 games and 7 times have conceded more than 1.
Strangely Stevenage have so far played 13 home games but only 8 away with 1 win, 3 draws and 4 defeats. In these 8 games they have only scored 3 goals and conceded 8 so we could be in for a low scoring game. Their leading scorers are Dan Kemp 4 (6 in all comps.), Elliott List 4 (4) and Jamie Read 3 (4). They are currently in good form with 12 points from their last 7 games but only 1 of these has been away and 23 of their 29 points have been gained at home.
Darren Drysdale is our referee and many will remember him for our February 2021 game at Ipswich when he butted heads with Alan Judge and received an improper conduct charge from the FA.
We have to hope that the 3 players injured against Shrewsbury are ok and that we might have 1 or 2 others available to have a stronger looking bench. We really could do with maximum points from these next 2 games as our other 4 January fixtures are against teams from the top half of the table.

Let’s hope the gales hit Northampton around 2 o clock making it unsafe to stage the match with all the construction work going on

Guinness-Walker has confirmed on social media that he is injured. Likely we will have 17 players out tomorrow:
Lee Burge, Harvey Lintott, Tyler Magloire, Jack Baldwin, Luke Mbete, Patrick Brough, Nesta Guinness-Walker, Ali Koiki, Jack Sowerby, Matt Dibley-Dias, Ben Fox, Liam McCarron, James Wilson, Sam Hoskins, Tyler Roberts, Tariqe Fosu, Callum Morton.
Given the circumstances I'd take a point.

11 senior players left, they all play! A new medical department/sports science approach is seriously needed going forward. The strings are being tightened too much!

A happy new year to ALL Cobblers fans, players and staff.
I think the team will need massive support today and at Burton!

In recent games we have had Hylton score against us, Pierre score against us, hoping that today Manny's golden boy Tyreese doesn't. He hasn't an EFL goal all season so far.

If ever we needed a postponement, then today's the day, considering our ever growing horrendous injury list...
However, I'm sure big Kev will get whoever starts, up for the battle ahead...

Couldn't they have "accidently" left a hose pipe on or left a bit of the new stand flapping?
