That’s a hammer blow as we are not blessed with talent in that area and he was an inspirational signing that transformed our midfield. Him and Taylor were a great pairing. Now Perry will need to step in. It leaves us vulnerable if him or Taylor get an injury or suspension though.

Remember, Taylor won't be able to play against Charlton either!

Unbelievably bad luck for him and the club. Interesting that Nolan suggested yesterday the Sixfields pitch may need to be looked at in the Summer, in case it might have something to do with the number of injuries.

Ben Perry will have to step up, with Chouchane and Hondermarck as back-up. As long as Taylor stays fit that should just be enough. McGeehan coming back will help too.

I am absolutely gutted by this, more so than if we end up getting relegated. He’s been that good I honestly believe we would have a great chance to get promoted again next season should the worst happen. It’s been sickening to see what’s happened to Sowerby with his injuries and we can’t only hope when eventually Shaw does come back, I guess around Christmas he is still the same player.

We do seem to be cursed with injuries. Huge huge miss for us, as others have mentioned he really (alongside Taylor) transformed our midfield.

Hopefully he recovers quickly and wont miss too much of next season. These injuries are usually 6-12 months range, but I suspect no one on here knows the severity of Liam's injury. Lets hope its around 6-7 months.

somebody with more time and nous than me will tell us were the injuries to Guthrie, Morton, Shaw and anyone else mostly at home.

The pitch argument has legs maybe, but across all the leagues, I mean what don't you see anymore? Muddy pitches?
What didn't we have then? Long term injuries, unless bones were broken.

I remember watching the Mbete injury happen in front of me - 100% the pitch caused that.

Looking at the sh*t state of the Exeter pitch can somebody explain why people are saying our good looking pitch is the problem?

Nolan appears to be the one with the issue. Personally I think that it is excellent for this time of year.

I commented the other day how good the pitch was, compared to Exeter it’s a billiard table.
