I commented yesterday that was one of the only times we've used Eaves in the right way as you aren't going to get much out of him if he's being asked to chase after lost causes.
I thought all three goals were superb, and each in a different way. Sammy's had the wow factor about it, Eaves came from physicality, determination and a nice, composed finish while Shaw's was a wonderful team goal (not to mention a tidy finish at the end of it)
It's nice to see we can score different types of goals like that.
Actually, it's just nice to see we can score goals!!

Will it count as relevant or irrelevant I wonder 🧐
Well as we won by the odd goal I'd say all three were relevant. Had we lost 3-6 then none of them would have been, unless at the end of the season we were to stay up on goal difference. But you knew that didn't you? Just pretending not to understand, you little tease.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!
We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

It was not until after the game that I remembered Huddersfield had paid a reported £750,000 for Dion Charles and I don't recall him having any impact on the game.
At HT I said that I expect if we are still 2-0 up with 15-20 minutes to go we would throw on extra defenders to see the game out. Then we would be booting the ball clear and it would keep coming back at us, but at 3-0 up ( it should have been 4-0 as Fofu should have scored just before HT) I did not expect to be clock watching at the end. On the Huddersfield forum several commented that we retreated to our own goal line on 70 minutes and let them back into the game and if we had continued attacking them we would have won comfortably.
Surprised to see the starting 11 and only playing 3 defenders against the 4th placed team but it worked.
Some other Huddersfield comments, these 2 at HT "we are now losing 5-1 on aggregate to this lot" and "has Duff learned nothing from when they played us off the park at our place" "20% of Northampton's points this season have come against us". They fully agreed we deserved to win. The other thing that surprised me was how often they resorted to the long ball.

I was pleased to see that we have, pretty much, abandoned trying to "play out" from the back. I see even Man City are giving away goals by doing it today. The players that 90% of the clubs in this country have, are not good enough to do it, but everybody thinks that because Pep does it, it must be the only way to play, but it's not
