Jon Brady is now odds-on favourite to be the next Carlisle United head coach/manager. He did an impressive job with you and, though he'll have his work cut out initially, The Cumbrians would be a good opportunity.

Strange isn't it? That was the window in which he said himself he was given the biggest budget he's had. He's not the first manager/head-coach to do less well with more money to spend. The window's just closed so, if it's him, he'll have to make a decent outfit out of the signings his predecessor brought in.

I'll eat my hat if he goes to Carlisle. I'll eat my other hat if he wants another job in management unless it's local, Kettering etc.

He will be chomping at the bit for another job before he gets forgotten about.

If he goes to Carlisle I can see him taking Sampson and rico with him enabling KN to bring in his own staff.

Steven Gerrard is the latest candidate apparently.

I'm hoping he'll take Everbrite with him.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!

We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

It’s not the size of budget in of itself, more how it compares to everyone else. Not much help getting your budget doubled if everyone else has it trebled. (Not saying that happened, but it’s a bit more complicated than it may appear).

I hope Carlisle can sustain double figure injuries, because that's where they will be in a matter of weeks with Brady.
Their plight this season has me very worried about going down ourselves L2 is nuts always has been

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if Carlisle lose their place in the football league they should immediately apply to the Scottish league. With the size of the town, the gates they'd attract (with the likes of Celtic & Rangers visiting), the standard of Scottish football, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they were quickly up into the Premiership and fighting for European football. Then there's the travelling. 95miles to Glasgow, 98 to Edinburgh, even Aberdeen is only 229 miles. Yet Carlisle to Gillingham is 349miles, to Bromley is 345, even places like Swindon, Milton Keynes are closer then Aberdeen. I've never understood why they haven't done it before, after all Berwick is in England and they are in the Scottish league.

Technically they're in the Scottish Non League.
I doubt whether many Carlisle fans would relish the thought of playing in the Scottish league. They're not too keen on the Scots in that part of the world, allegedly.
