This is the very large list of players who are out of contract this summer. A big job ahead for KN and staff.

Who would you keep?

Lee Burge (option), Tyler Magloire, Aaron McGowan, Jack Sowerby, Jon Guthrie, Mitch Pinnock, James Wilson (option), Nik Tzanev, Ali Koiki, Liam McCarron (option), Harvey Lintott, Akin Odimayo, Will Hondermarck, Tariqe Fosu, TJ Eyoma, Patrick Brough, Max Dyche.

Not sure on the length of contract for Josh Tomlinson and James Dadge.

That leaves only these players (SEVEN) under contract - Jordan Willis (Jun 26), Sam Hoskins (Jun 26), Tom Eaves (initial contract Jun 26), Nesta Guinness-Walker (Jun 26), Cameron McGeehan (Jun 26), Jack Baldwin (Jun 26), Liam Shaw (Jun 27).

Loan players who will return to parent clubs - Dara Costelloe, Terry Taylor, Tyler Roberts, Luke Mbete, Samy Chouchane, Callum Morton, Ben Perry.

At the moment I would only keep Tzanev, Eyoma and Dyche, not sure of any of the others. A little unfortunate for Jon Guthrie because he's been a great player for us.

Too early, the transfer window has just closed let's not start talking about the next one already. A lot can happen between now and the end of the season and I that KN will be making too many early firm decisions, also some players he hasn't seen play yet.
Come back in April.

OAP - It's a FACT that these players are out of contract, nothing to do with the next transfer window. Also, that's why I said 'at the moment' I would keep such and such. I realise things can still change but most of these players are injury prone as we all know.

Call me a cynical old git but with seven players contracted it would be up to new owners to pay for the rebuild if the owners left after fulfilling their obligation to build the east stand.

I would imagine a lot of these decisions will be put off until we know what division we're in. Some of them would be okay in League 2 but not this level.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!

We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

Is there a player in that list that anybody would be really disappointed to see leave?. The only one for me is Guthrie but even then when you take into account his age and the injury that clouds the decision.

After the past couple seasons - I'd release everyone with a sketchy injury record.

Lee Burge (option), Tyler Magloire, Aaron McGowan, Jack Sowerby, Jon Guthrie, Mitch Pinnock, James Wilson (option), Nik Tzanev, Ali Koiki, Liam McCarron (option), Harvey Lintott, Akin Odimayo, Will Hondermarck, Tariqe Fosu, TJ Eyoma, Patrick Brough, Max Dyche.

I'd deffo give Guthrie as much physio time as needed to earn another contract though.

Plus maybe Fosu and Pinnock, Sowerby?

This - wouldn't really miss of that group. If we are in league one Eyoma, and if in league 2 it might be a couple more.

Can't imagine anyone who KN doesnt see play would be kept on.

I think rather more players will be offered new deals at the end of the season than people think, it wouldn't surprise me to see 6 on that list still here next season without going into names to assess each player individually. The other thing to remember is that because of budget limitations for a squad of 25+ players some will have to be lower earners and will not be considered normal starting 11 players (such as Hondermarck this season) but will be needed at times due to injuries.

No matter what division we are in, the majority/all ooc players will be off...

For the last few seasons we've continually signed injury prone players & even extended those players contracts, even though they are injury prone...

If Tzanev continues to improve then he could be offered terms, along with a new number 1. TJ also worth a new deal providing he's again not plagued by injuries for the rest of this season (he's already ruled out of tomorrow nights match through injury)

As for Guthers, certainly worth inviting back pre season to continue his rehab, but as he probably won't be anywhere near match fit until November time, we can't just be offering him a playing contract (coaching role perhaps?)

As we've got CC back (for now  Grin) & big Kev at the helm, i'm sure the recruitment will be far more targeted & robust than it has been previously...quality Shaw/TT....over quantity!

I mean none jump out as a ‘must keep’.

Guthrie and Pinnock probably.

McGowan maybe a nice to have.

Pinnock is the only player to have not been injured this season and indeed since he signed in 2021 has played 165 matches.

I'll leave it up for discussion why he seems to avoid injury compared to others.

Because he’s (physically) the fittest player in the squad and has been since he arrived?

I'd keep the following:

Mitch Pinnock, Nik Tzanev, Akin Odimayo and TJ Eyoma.

For me the jury's still out on Liam McCarron, Harvey Lintott, Will Hondermarck, Tariqe Fosu and perhaps now Max Dyche, who has surprised me since coming back.

There are some good players among the others, such as Sowerby, Guthrie and Magloire, but either age or injury-proneness means we should probably let them go.

Could be a very busy summer if we need to replace a lot of these, but a good opportunity for KN to make his mark on the squad.

Manny’s choice….

Mitch Pinnock, Nik Tzanev, Akin Odimayo, TJ Eyoma, and Tariqe Fosu.

I would also try and get Terry Taylor - classy and probably affordable.
