I think it unlikely that McGowan’s offspring were born here, I don’t his other half living down here.

And for all of this "closer to home" nonsense, can I just point out that both of them have played for Kilmarnock in the 2020/2021 season? On that basis, they will go where the dollar is.
Kids have change their priorities. Fair play to them.

McGowan made 131 appearances and Pinnock 200. If as Nolan says they want to be closer to their families joining Burton doesn't make much sense.
Being on the A50 would take over an hour off each way.

Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

Better players have left us before. Some have stepped up and others have cashed in when the time was right for them. Short careers and our management have to look at what’s best use of the budget and pushing forward in a tough division. They’ve both played a big part in the last 4 years and wish them well and would think they’ll be fondly remembered overall.
Characters, promotion, goals and more.
Look forward to pre season where we guess who’s who and the identity of trialist A, B, C etc
I won’t be at preseason games but you know the score.

I think someone should just take this city of Peterborough and just... just flush it down the f***in' toilet

Surely Burton is not much closer to McGowans family?
65 miles nearer Liverpool than Northampton

Yes good luck to both. Great shame that we are losing both of them especially Pinnock who was imho our best and most reliable player by far.

I assume that McGowan wants to live with his family as if he is staying away all week he may as well have stayed here. If I was him I wouldn't want a daily commute of over 3 hours, according to the AA Liverpool to Burton takes 1 hour 52 minutes, obviously depends where in the Liverpool area he lives.

The car wasn't so uncomfortable as to be a hindrance but the drive was through some fairly dodgy regions culminating in a challenging route where the vehicle might struggle and it is best all round to terminate the relationship at the core. Especially as the other club had an agreement in this regard.

I don’t get the forensic investigation as to why he’s left. He has, he did a good job for us and now he moves on with my best wishes. Maybe his replacement is better, maybe worse and we go again next season, maybe better, maybe worse.

Absolutely. Hes gone, move on. Its just that people cannot dissociate themselves from former players. When he gets released from Burton (or wherever) he ends up, there will be lots of people saying "have him back like a shot".

Sounds like Max has been offered a contract similar to the new players which seems to be weighted on performance merits.
No suprises Max hasn’t jumped at the offer, he could end up owing the club money!

I think KN’s opinion of Max is the complete opposite to yours or he wouldn’t have been 1 of the few to be offered a new contract.
If he decides to move on you will have to find another player to constantly slag off but I don’t expect you’ll find that difficult.

Dyche is a punt for the future, personally I think we signed enough for the future, I’d like to see some more senior players signed, more Shaws please. Don’t mind a few loans but not half the team.

I think the club are also protecting themselves and by offering Max a contract will be due a fee if he leaves and turns down the contract.

I think it's only half a dozen individuals on here who have decided that Dyche isn't worth his place in the squad. Virtually every other Cobblers fan I speak to, and I speak to a lot, think he did a very reasonable job when he came back from his loan.
