None of the players that chose to reject offers or released have done particularly well on a playing front. Maybe their bank balances tell a different story.

Yes. Would be a crying shame if Pinnock went. Believe he is underated by some. Long throws, 100 % effort and occasionally great through balls.

Not too bad at blocking goal bound shots either!

Don't understand some of the grief he gets...

Hope he stays

I wouldn't be surprised to see Pinnock go and move closer to where he lives

He was offered the same at both clubs. It's been reported he didn't like Brady

I hope Pinnock stays and I would also take Sherring back if he became available. I'm a very forgiving sort of person.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!

We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

Do we think that he is the most improved player under Kevin Nolan? I do, but perhaps he's happier with his position as well?

My player of the season - work rate is 100% every game and he never gives up.

Money talks for any player and those who think different are living on another planet

Regardless of a players affinity to a club - if A.N - Other club of a similar standard or below offer said player and huge increase in wages and a longer term contract then it’s a no brainer

I love my current job, and have been there 10 years, but if a competitor offered me a lucrative pay rise and better benefits. I am off!

As well as Pinnock has done of late I do think NGW is a far better option than him, if we have ambitions beyond a bottom half finish then the likes of Pinnock and Hoskins are not what's needed as a first choice, good for the squad but that's it.

As we are about to enter the final straight these are my thoughts. With a squad of around 25 players our budget does not allow for them all to be on first 11 contracts so their has to be players on lower wages as we have now. At the moment we have too many centre backs, currently 8 including McGowan and excluding NGW who has filled in on a needs be basis. I think KN prefers to have some pace in the centre back positions and that will sway his thinking.

Burge - Disregarding his form until the end of the season I would release him as he is missing too many games through injury and at 32 likely to reoccur. Only 20 games last season and has missed half of this and he
will be on a decent wage. Get a younger keeper in with experience who could be regular first choice.
Tzanev - I felt he was unlucky to lose his place 2 games ago as he was performances had improved from when he first came into the team. I imagine he is not 1 of the higher earners and would offer him another year.
Guthrie - After his service it would be harsh to discard him and he recently indicated initial talks had taken place.
Eyoma - Has done well since being brought in and I would offer him another 2 years.
Magloire - Has had a frustrating time with injuries but when fit looks a good player. I would give him another year, it would be annoying to let him go and then he plays a full season for his new club.
Dyche - Always loaned out under JB but practically an ever present under KN. Again will not be 1 of the higher earners and I expect him to get an offer.
Odimayo - Only 2 players have played more this season and I thought he was our best right back last season. His recovery pace at the back is impressive, imagine he also is not 1 of the higher earners, keep.
McGowan - Is a leader and always gives 100%. Depends where KN sees him playing as I'm not sure about him at right wing back.
Koiki - Too many injuries, release.
Brough - Also likely to be released.
Lintott - Will be released.
Sowerby - People go on about him being regularly injured but in the last 3 completed seasons he has played 104 of the 138 games, 75%. It was regularly mentioned that our win ratio is better when he is in the
team. I am happy to let the medics decide about his current injury as to whether he gets another offer but would be sad to see him go.
Pinnock - Will get another offer having had a good season.
McCarron - Release, not shown signs of being capable of holding down a first team place.
Hondermarck - I think will be released.
Wilson - Also release.
Fosu - Depends on his form in the remaining games, started brightly but since his injury has mostly been disappointing.

Contracted Players - With our excess of centre backs I would try to move Baldwin on. Willis has been the better of the 2 but has had to play in the centre of the back 3 since Guthrie's injury and I think he is better
player on the right of Guthrie, has also been reliable at right back when needed.

Loan Players - Worth sounding out Charlton to see if we can strike a deal for Taylor. From his few games so far get Costelloe back and also Perry. Doubtful that we would get Roberts back. Mbete was very good
before his injury but NGW in contracted so will be left wing back.

The Fosu situation is a funny one, he has gone off the boil, but if we want to be competitive we need players with that little bit extra, which he definitely has, if KN can get the best out of him then he is an asset, they are hard to find.

Taylor is the big one for me, hoping we have had a loan to buy deal with Charlton.

KN is having to work with the existing squad as that's what he inherited...

No matter what division we are in I think there will be a big overhaul of players as KN will want players who'll fit the system he wants to implement...

I too really hope Taylor signs permanently & think he will, providing we're still in L1

Guarantee the recruitment & pre season planning will be far better under KN & also having CC back will also help.

I think Burge has an option for an extra year but not sure how many games might trigger this. I'm not convinced he has the fitness to be our No.1 but lets see if he can get through the rest of our games unscathed.
