Looks a completely different player in the new LWB position.
He still gets more flak than is warranted (especially by the knobhead behind me) but we look a much better team with him in, and Nolan clearly trusts him, which he has backed with consistent performances recently
The stamina and pace he showed in the 93rd minute to nearly score sums up Pinnock 2.0
It will be interesting to see what Nolan does when Nesta GW is fully fit. Change of formation? A left side of Pinnock and GW has the potential to be very dangerous for us,

I think he did really well today, really wanted him to put that away after that run, would have deserved his goal.

Oh go on then, considering nobody asked…

Same League appearances as Bayo now.
1 off David Buchanan in overall appearances.
1 league goal behind Marco Gabbiadini

Another consistent performance from Pinnock; it was good to see him totally confuse his opponent with consumate ease.
Nesta's goal was delight though. The lad has class and for me looks to have potential to be a good player; in the league above!

Worked his socks off, literally, looks a different player under Nolan, thought it was a pen at the end.

I thought L1 was too much of a step up for him and he was out of his depth. It’s not like he was lazy, he just wasn’t up to it. Went AWOL in games for too long and too often making him a passenger, and we needed to move him on asap. All of a sudden from nowhere he’s turned all that on its head and is the polar opposite of all of it. Work that out.

There are a lot  of players out of contract at the end of the season so perhaps a few more of them need to be showing the same improvement in performance if that is the reason.

Mitch has always been a bit of a funny one - you can't argue with his goals or assists but he often seemed to go missing for long spells and regularly jibbed out of challenges.

This year though he's getting stuck in much more and it's far more involved in general play. Plus he never seems to get injured (he says tempting fate)!

He's a definite contender for player of the season.

Agree about Pinnock and the penalty. The clear push on Dyche clearly wasn't going to be given either, although it was absolutely blantant. Just as well Dyche brilliantly turned that situation into a goal. Very impressed with Dyche in recent matches.

Also tired of seeing refs automatically book both players when there is a coming together. Their defender clearly went for Pinnock after the "penalty" incident, accusing him of diving when he clearly didn't. Pinnock simply stood his ground. Ref comes over. Both get booked. Why can't refs show a bit more personality, rather than take the easy way out by booking both players, which they always seem to do?

Pleased for him as he was turning into a waste of space

I'm still not totally convinced, perhaps a poor man's Trent but definitely improved of late so can't knock him

He needs a contract. Nothing else has changed other than that. Get him in. Offer him a short term deal, keep him on his toes.

This wasn’t specifically aimed at pinnock just an observation on how in many cases players that may have no job in a few months time suddenly start playing well !!

Not blowing my own trumpet but I have always rated him.
Makes things happen, doesnt always come off but generally gives 100% and looks gutted if we lose!
