We have just edged our clashes with Orient with 34 wins to their 30 and 24 games drawn. Our record their is reasonable as we have returned with points from just over half of our visits, we have 10 wins, 13 draws and 20 defeats. Last season we lost 3-4 but did not lose any of the 4 previous encounters and it is a game where we could complete the double as we won the home game 1-0 with a McGeehan goal.

Orient have had an up and down season as they lost their first 4 games and only took 8 points from their first 11 (2 wins, 2 draws and 7 defeats). They have now again lost their last 4 games in a tough set of fixtures, away to Bolton, Birmingham and Rotherham and at home to Charlton. But before that they had a fantastic 14 games when they took 35 points from a possible 42 with 11 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat scoring 32 and conceding only 7 with 10 clean sheets. Their leading scorer is Charlie Kelman with 11 in the EFL and 18 in all comps.
At home they have won 9, drawn 3 and lost 6.

They have scored more than 1 goal 14 times ( 8 at home) and failed to score 13 times (5 at home).
They have conceded more than 1 goal 13 times (6at home) and kept 15 clean sheets (10 at home over half of their home games).

Alex Chilowicz is the referee and in 27 games he has issued 91 yellows, 7 reds and awarded 7 penalties. He is from the USA so hopefully he will apply EFL rules and not American Football rules although it could be interesting.

As we know we rarely score more than once and our recent attempts at goal have been very low and need to improve so we have to be strong at the back. Although only scoring 5 goals in our last 6 away games due to keeping 3 clean sheets we have only been beaten once and have taken 9 points so let's keep that run going. It is unlikely we will make many changes in midfield or attack but it is difficult to predict our back 3 as it changes from game to game.

Leyton Orient FC (First Team) v Northampton Town FC (First Team)
Football League 1
Referee: Chilowicz, Alex
Assistant Referee: Spender, Oliver
Assistant Referee: Fudge, Samuel
Fourth Official: Brook, Carl

Alex Chilowicz was in the middle for our 1-0 defeat at Bristol Rovers and our 0-0 draw at Blackpool, so we must be due to win this 1-0??  Smiley

Tis always a grand day out, down in the smoke. This is probably todays youth version, of my visits to Fulham in the nineties. Great fun and probably a lot more expensive now, if one should choose to let the train take the strain, and drink anywhere near central London. Cant make this one unfortunately, family issues, but enjoy yourselves everybody that is going.

Strange, over 1200 Cobblers fans travelling and only 4 postings!

Now if I asked where most fans are drinking a lot more postings?

We are starting in Huntingdon because Bedford Station has engineering works this weekend.

I wouldn't worry, some of our fans don't even know what month it is.

I missed this one, how did we get on?

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!

We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

Team bus left Sixfields about 11:00 this morning, saw Tom Eaves coming back from a solo jog just before they went, looked like he was getting his car washed at the time as well!

We're coming from the opposite direction. Car from Kent to Newbury Park then on the tube to Leyton. No sendings off today please, the Fox one was a shocker.
