Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

Boss, Can you please consider adding Terry Branston as he was a true Centre Half and no messing! Thanks and regards

Branston is the best centre half I have ever seen for us but he's outside the time frame our host has set and it's unlikely many on here would have seen him play.

Branston, Rankmore, Robertson, Gregory, McPherson.
Totally agree, far better than those offered for this post's selection.

I've amended my vote having thought about the time period covering modern era only (and Sammo rightfully falls just outside of this).
As a side note - mad to think Westwood, Willis and Magloire have all managed 40+ games for us.

Unfortunately they don’t fit into the ‘modern’ category. Even I’m too young for everyone else but McPherson who was class. I’m going Guthrie and Goode. I might have gone Sammo but the seasons counted we’re not when he was at his peak. I wonder what our best central defensive partnership was? McPherson/Wilcox and Sammo/Warburtonwere both class.

I also agree that Gyepes would be my first choice if he been on the list. Fantastic player. I think we've been spoiled for centre backs over recent years as Horsfall, Langmead, Diamond, Turnbull, Cresswell, Goode and Sherring are/were all good centre backs. Shame we can't go back further to include the likes of McPherson too. Can Magloire really have made more than 40 appearances for the Cobblers? It doesn't seem possible.

Diamond Guthrie Goode
If the time period covered the 90s then Sammo would be in there, but if we're strictly looking at season 02/03 and after then he wouldn't make the cut.
Where's Luke Chambers? Was he considered a right-back?

I think you are missing someone. Or did you not really rate the rest of them?
