JH just confirmed Swyer and Baldwin the only ones missing - along with Eaves, Guthrie and Shaw.

Maybe it explains why the 11 shirt is being used. JH doesn't think the first two are injured.

I hope to God that he was either downplaying it or he meant 2/3 more permanents and then the rest loans as we haven’t got anywhere near enough in terms of squad size.

Only 2/3 additions is a serious concern, we look weaker than last year especially going forward. I know it’s only preseason but we had nothing in attack today and Eaves is definitely not the solution.

I haven’t seen the interview but if he said no strikers then we’re in for a painfully long season.

KN said he wanted 20 outfield players and 3 goalkeepers. Probably 22 or 23 outfield players to cover for the long-term injuries. KN recently said plenty of work is still to be done on recruitment.

We've got our 3 goalkeepers with Dadge to be loaned out.

18 outfield players - this includes long term injuries to Guthrie and Shaw possibly Eaves too = 15 players

Tomlinson will probably be loaned out = 14 players

Question marks remain over Willis and Baldwin = 12 players

So in conclusion we need 6 to 8 more players, probably 6 with Willis and Baldwin to remain.

3 permanent and 3 or 4 loans. That's my take on it.

Youngsters Ireland and Dobson will also be loaned out.
