Again, we didn't sign ANYONE until 2nd July last year, so no need to panic...

It doesn’t help that there’s clubs throwing money and contracts around like drunken sailors - MK Dongs and Mansfield spring to mind - it’s completely distorting the market. As with Brady previously, it must be such a hard job for KN trying to compete. I imagine we’re going to be going down a similar route to last season, spending a good chunk of our budget on 5 quality loans, it looks like we see that as providing more value, the only problem with that is they’re unlikely to join until late in the summer and it will make for a disjointed pre season.

I think it was a missed opportunity not to get Liam Roberts back, absolute quality keeper, most important player on the pitch.

For what it’s worth I agree but it’s KN who is in charge of the budget and he has obviously decided to go another way.

We should be 'throwing money and contracts around like drunken sailors' too if that is what it takes. Isn't that why Le Quesne was adopted? His Jersey tax-free wonga should be spread around the four corners. Chocolate is for the lips.

The only way we will get any higher than bottom half league 1 is if thomas and co get their fingers out and search for more investment. Other clubs seem to do it, mk dons; burton, walsall, wycombe, mansfield, even stevenage.  We are getting left behind.

Other than Wycombe, those clubs really aren't leaving us behind. Two of them are in the league below, one of them finished below us and one of them is still managed by Nigel Clough!!!

I think the point is they are all willing to invest in the playing squad.
It’s pretty obvious we are missing out on our first choice targets and will be shopping in the bargain basement and relying on loans again.
