On Saturday we “entertain” Wigan Athletic in a dead rubber of a game which should be quite nice but maybe a little less so after the performance level at Crawley.

Team selection should be interesting and maybe indicative of the soon to follow retained list although having a full team of players likely to still be here next season may be an issue.

If there are youth team/first year pros with any prospect of a future they should be given a chance in the match day squad.

I’ll be there as usual to see the season out before we enter the summer Saturday where I don’t know what to do with myself.
Might go to a 20/20 game or two although it’s mostly just an excuse to drink beer.

Up the Cobblers and stay off the pitch.

I think Nolan’s has already said the youth team and first year pros are no where near the first team.

There is no one in the youth team anywhere good enough for the first team, look what happened when we played a bunch of youth teamers against Burton in that Mickey Mouse cup we got stuffed 5 - 2 at home. I want Nolan to play the strongest team we can muster , it's about time we beat Wigan.

The players owe the fans a performance after the debacle at Crawley, not that I saw it, I am going purely on the score and reports and I want nothing less than 100% effort on Saturday. I remember saying before the game who would be missing from the previous game as we seem to lose a player after every match and that player was McGowan who in my view was a big miss as he is the most passionate player we have and a natural captain, so I hope he will be back but you can guarantee someone else will have picked up a 'knock'.

I shall be glad to get the season over so we can have a big clearout of the players who are never fit and hopefully sign some that are more robust. I look forward to seeing who KN can bring into the club.

It seems a long time since we played our last game at home, hopefully it will be a good one.

Two teams with nothing but pride to play for. Does anyone know if the prize money for league positions is pro-rata'd as it is in the premier league? Think I asked this before so apologies if it has been answered.

Not really any benefit to rotating as those who would be rotated in will likely not be here next season anyway. Lets finish the season on a high note.

3,000th game in the third tier.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!

We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

Agree with all of this, I too will be glad to see the end of another season, with the only highlight being smashing Boro 4-0 in the Fens.

I guess the figures are skewed in favour of division 3 on account of the north/south split and the 4th tier only coming into existence much later?.

Promotion from Division 3 North/South led to the second tier. They were both third tier.

Will learn a lot about the players professionalism in this one. Fans obviously demonstrate both financial commitment and considerable effort in following the club. Leaving to one side the fact most players are playing for a new contract either with us or at a new club, they need to be running through brick walls on Saturday for the supporters who follow the club with such loyalty. The third gear performance at Crawley was both surprising and disappointing in equal measure. Last chance to put it right.

.

Agreed - I get a strong whilst  KN has worked well with what he inherited most would not be his choice and I’m expecting wholesale changes and the key for next season is how that team gels
