So is that 10 contracted, 5 offers and 2 undecided on (Fosu & Brough). What size squad did KN say he was looking at? I remember it not being that big so doesn’t look like we’ll be making a huge amount of signings.

I don’t think Brough will be offered a new contract, more an opportunity for his to get fit after suffering a long term injury. I’m glad the club have offered him this but would be amazed if he’s given a contract.

Max and Josh likely loaned out.
Pinnock might not stay, whispers of him wanting to move back down south for two seasons now.
I can definitely see at least one of Baldwin, Willis and Eaves being moved on.

So who knows.

Id like to see us bring in some pace and of course Terry Taylor.

At the open evening he said 20 outfield players and 3 keepers, one of whom is Dadge.

20 outfield players and yet we frequently had 10-15 players out last season. How does that work, if say 10 are injured, make up the difference from the youth team. There are 18 players involved in the match squad, we need more than 20 + 3 in my view.

No real surprises.

I also think Odimayo was worth a contract as offers good versatility, but perhaps his injury record was a concern.
Brough I imagine is a courtesy and would be surprised to see him signed on.
Dyche, a decent and cheap enough backup. I've always though Tomlinson has looked a better prospect though so will be interesting to see how he does if/when given the opportunity.
Can certainly see Willis, Baldwin + Eaves allowed to leave but not easy to shift unless they want to take a pay cut and drop down to lower half L2 (where tbf they would be a good signing if they stayed fit). Wouldn't be massively surprised if Willis retires as he has hobbled his way through the last 2 seasons. Shame as he's a quality player.
Fosu is the most interesting one to see how that pans out, especially as it looked a dead cert he would be off a few weeks ago when he was frozen out.

Sounds like the feelers are out on the 3 loan boys too, 2 of those would be a great coup and could see Perry + Costello (+ their clubs) fancying a full season with us. Taylor may be the trickiest one.

Who is saying he's not Good enough ,Nolan clearly thinks he is.

The Oracle MC.

He’ll be in or around the first team next season and probably our best chance of a multi million pound sale if he has a top season or two. Stranger things have happened.

Taylor and Costelloe would require a fee so once again of no long term benefit to the club.
Will we never try and sign any of our loan targets?

Strange you seem to be focusing your attention on me. I assume you read the other posts on here also, it shows I’m not the only one doubting his L1 ability, in fact it seems most are!

In the last page and a half we’ve have the following comments:

Threeinabed - Dyche is too slow

Lordjord - Whilst im not his biggest fan I imagine Dyche could be seen as a 4th choice option.

Davcobbler - I kind of get it if you were Liverpool but seriously, how long a project can one player be?! He is 22 and if he isn't good enough now, then you have to question the player or our coaching ability.

Drilling Cobbler - Dyche Id have thought will be fairly cheap relative to league1 wages; he does need to improve somewhat to be an asset in a back4 but has looked half decent most of the time in a back3.

Cobbler 151 - Max and Josh likely loaned out.

Monkey - Dyche, a decent and cheap enough backup. I've always though Tomlinson has looked a better prospect though so will be interesting to see how he does if/when given the opportunity.

Not many surprises, all of those offered new contracts were expected. I thought Odimayo would be included as he has played a lot of games this season, can play anywhere across the back 4 and is 1 of our few defenders with pace. Sorry to see Sowerby go but it was expected with his injury record. Didn't expect to see Brough again.

As KN says he wants 2 players for each position if they all accept their offers it doesn't look as though we will be signing many defenders unless we can ship some out as we have

                               McGowan                            Dyche                              Guthrie                                    NGW
New signing                        Willis                                Baldwin                          Brough or New signing

I pay more attention to the team manager rather than random punters on a fans forum.

Perhaps 20 gives the flexibility to add players dependant on injuries. Use everything up front and your options might be limited.

How about you present an opinion, instead of relying on others or organisations to formulate it for you?

As you don't pay any credence to anything I post, I see no point in bothering.
