I think you miss the point of protecting the club and its interests. Max Dyche and Tomlinson for that matter would demand a fee as long as we offer them a contract and they decide to go elsewhere. Of course, they will probably both stay but do you really want two players we've seen come through the ranks from a young age just walking away for nothing?

As for Brough, he's only been invited back to training. This has happened before but the player in question didn't turn up because he got fixed up elsewhere (can't remember the players name). Even if he does turn up there are no guarantees but it's still good of the club to offer a player, who if you remember, played on with a broken leg to help us win a game of football.

Probably retiring. I said after he did this latest injury (dislocated knee) he would struggle to ever come back from it unfortunately. Hopefully I'm wrong.

With his injury record, I'm guessing it a combination of the 2 that's lead to the decision. Dyche on other hand is a cheap back up that can be used in the pointless Papa Johns etc.

Brough not even been offered anything. Looking at Nesta's form , id be surprised if he stays.

I wonder how long the players who’ve been offered new contracts get to make a decision before the offer is withdrawn? I do hope that Fosu gets his head sorted and is confirmed as ours. He’s a definite asset when on his game, just needs to be consistent.

He is one of those non shedding designer spaniels, which would have been called a mongrel in the 70's.
At the moment I think he'd do a great job on the wing and great at undoing laces.

if we want to progress AK isnt good enough - i always think he flatters to deceive. has all the attributes, but doesnt stand out and dominate enough for me
