With the football season over and done with, it's festival season instead. What are you up to and who are you going to see?

I kick off today with Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington with James, The Wombats, The Lottery Winners and The Snuts.

Tomorrow is Stereophonics, The Lathums, Inhaler and Wunderhorse.

Many others as well, will there be an up and coming unknown on the little stage catching the eye?

Typically, having had no rain since the start of April, it's forecast to chuck it down tonight, but last time I saw James outside it was in a thunderstorm and that didn't dampen the spirits.

I do like the latest wunderhorse album midas, could probably leave the other acts though.

None for me this year, but the current Mrs T has nicked my tent, and gone off to the FIA top fuel drag racing at Bedfordshires finest for the weekend.
I am sure that there are some glorified pub bands playing later on.  I shall just pop down the Crown & Cush to watch the play off semis.

Festivals aren't my thing, but I'm going to see Guns n Roses next month and Billy Lockett in December.

Totally agree Bingers.  Never too old, although must say none of the bands you mentioned appeal to me.

I've only heard of one of them! I am off to watch a local punk band tonight who are great, even if they and I should know better...

Slash guitar work is awesome (as always), but Im afraid that Axl vocals are not what they were. Where are you off to, Villa Park?

Yep. I did say the same about Axl - would much rather have seen them in their prime, but at least they are probably more likely to actually show up on time these days!

Still, they are one of my bucket list brands so I'm still looking forward to seeing them.

Enjoy yourself matey. My first viewing was Donnington in 88. Awesome show, but unfortunate circumstances.  Belting songs though.

Off to see an old band mate's new band at the Garibaldi tomorrow afternoon, should be fun as I can't remember the last time I went into a pub!

However much I love James and Tim Booth is a superb performer, The Lottery Winners were the highlight of the day. They really looked like they were enjoying themselves and that was very infectious.

Stereophonics were good, but highlight of the day were The Lathums. So happy to be playing to so many so close to home.

First entertainment of the day was jigging away to The Mary Wallopers. Comrade Manny would have loved them and Tabby, I'm sure, would have appreciated their Palestinian flag. Altogether now "and we're all off to Dublin in the green, in the green...."

Upon her return from Santa Pod, the current Mrs T thinks that " Cllr Thunberg" mate of yours would have loved those 11,000 BHP dragsters, with the heady smell of nitrous hanging in the air. I fear that she may make "brum brum" noises whilst pushing a Tesco trolley now.  Grin

And expect you to shoot off at a sudden high speed when she sends you off to fetch the groceries.
