I enjoyed a good festival in its day. Glastonbury when it was a CND, proper band thing. Nebworth etc. But the sanitised, political, virtue signalling shyte churned out by the sanctimonious stage dwellers these days, is nauseating.

A pretty quiet summer of music for me. Normally do Blenheim but nothing I fancied.
Got Simple Minds (for the umpteenth time) at Bedford Park and ELO (for the first and final time) in Manchester. Let’s hope Jeff Lynne makes it. I doubt they’ll be as good as the tribute band who are outstanding.

Totally agree about Glastonbury. I first went in 1981; Hawkwind, Roy Harper, Gong, New Order and £8, yes Eight pounds to get in.

I would never associate myself with anybody whose house has a handbrake.

Futurama was brilliant as well, just not sure it could have been classed as a summer festival.

Oasis at Wembley will hopefully feel like a festival. Can't wait to dig the bucket hat out the wardrobe.

If you want a cheap (possibly the cheapest festival with original acts no too far away then have a look at this.

https://www.godivafestival.com/artists

I've paid £9.50 for Friday night heather Small, Heaven 17 and Marc Almond
and
£7.50 for Ocean Colour Scene on Sunday afternoon

They were early bird tickets so it's more expensive now.
Also of course the chance to meet me  Grin
