Well he scored the winner for Wigan against us a couple of years back...

If the contract is cheap I don't see the harm. And I could be wrong but when there was a similar rumour this time last year, the vibes around a potential return were more positive than negative.

Bench player coming on to provide some experience in the last 15 or 20. Or an occasional starter when the situation dictates.

And if it's as progression towards coaching so on the cheap, makes sense. We'llget something out of him I'm sure. More than Hylton, Wilson, etc

Well if Dyche decides to leave he has found a ready replacement to constantly slag off.

I don't think that will happen and it is easy to get sidetracked by the usual dissenting voices on social media.
I personally think the Sixfields crowd will give him a local heroes welcome and his cameos will be well received.
It 100% reads as though he has been brought in for his experience and impact off the pitch as much as on it.

There is no way that people will be capable of being as angry about him as they were Hylton.  Tongue

I think this could be an astute signing, assuming that it is a relatively cheap one. We need some wise old heads in the camp, and we also need a bit of quality to replace Pinnock. I agree that he won't be a regular starter and he obviously hasn't been pulling up trees the last couple of years, but Crackers was real class when he played for us before, and he can't have lost that completely. With the right motivation and management, we may have a little gem once again. Let's face it, a player of Jacobs' class at the peak of their career would be outside our price range, but he might still be able to produce the goods often enough. Looking forward to seeing how he does.

I’d disagree with this. The guy admits himself his best days are well gone and he’s here to plug a few gaps in the last 15 minutes of games.

Hopefully he’s on the cheap and the sell was being back home with the family in market harborough.
