He was signed so a lot of sad twats would have 7 pages of posts to make. Surely that's totally obvious?

"Andrew Ellis was very much against what was going on. The Cardozas were strictly about business and development so that was him out the door. Andrew Ellis was only ever a football man."

Hi, just came here to say a few words on Ali Slowe.
I went to the same school as him and played many matches with him and on hearing the news he had signed for Northampton me and all my school friends were absolutely dumbstruck. Without wanting to be rude about him, he was rubbish. He was two years above me at school but he wouldn't have even made the team for my year or the team for two years below me.... Also, unless he has trained very hard in the few years that I haven't seen him he will be very lightweight and I can see him being injury prone if he comes up against any 'hardmen'.
However, to be positive about him for a second, he is definitely a character and will bring a lot to the dressing room if anything else. He is very knowledgeable on the game and will put in 100% every time he is near a football pitch.
If he was to become a coach I think he would do a very good job but as a player I think this is one of the strangest moves I have ever seen. It reminds me of the team I support, Southampton, when Souness was manager. He thought he was signing George Weah's cousin and ended up with some guy picked off the street. I worry for your club if your scouts are finding gems like Ali. However, I really hope he proves me and all his schoolmates wrong by making a name for himself.

If he's good, we'll forget all about how he came to join us. If he's not, the whinge hasn't even started yet.
Lets just see him play and make a judgement. If he never plays, then we have to presume the management have made the judgement for us. Cricketside: Forums would be a very boring place if people didnt make posts, even if it does make us all sad twats

Radio Northampton said he was far from the finished article.

Do you know what "Nemesis" means?
A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.

It seems that far from the finished article, he was deemed unsuitable to even warm the bench, surely he must of travelled down with the team, once Thornton was struck down, you'd have thought Sammo would have at least stuck him or Konstantinou on the bench, hmmm...

I'll be interested to see how he is rated on the new football manager game considering he has never played for us - it's probably going to be the only indication we will ever get as to how good (or not) he is.

I though Slowe was quality last night, he absolutely milked the celebrations more than anyone and i didn't think he was doing the leave the pitch at all! He was too busy celebrating on his own he missed the run up for the 'Klisman' Drive!! not bad for a competition winner!!!
