Certain he will be loving it, probably printed all the comments off and used it as wallpaper in his caravan.

I think I'd be absolutely loving it in his position but, if I'm wrong, just say the word if you're out there, Alistair, wherever and whoever you really are, and I'll stop and apologise unreservedly. You've got to laugh...

This whole thing is genius.  Do you think the Cobblers will end up featuring in some Joaquim Phoenix style spoof documentary at the end of the season?  Grin
Ok, that's it - the game is up. This has got to be some kind of wind up. Surely it's all going to turn out to be a Joaquin Phoenix style mockumentary...

For those, like me, who had never heard of Joachin:

Shocked Oops! Anyway, great point - it must have stayed with me on a subliminal level all this time.

For those that don't know, Joaquin Phoenix, the respected Hollywood actor, made a mockumentary about his supposed reinvention as a dishevelled, utterly talentless hip hop artist. He appeared on the Letterman show and had most people taken in, thinking it was a genuine descent into lunacy. The resulting film, 'I'm Not There', reveals that it was a joke all along and confirms Phoenix as one of the greatest actors of his generation.

Will Slowe turn out to be playing a similar ruse?

I couldn't resist the temptation to add some information to the 'pot'.

Alistair's Daddy is probably not well know to you, but if you read this link you'll get the idea

http://blogs.ft.com/westminster/2010/01/with-friends-like-thislabour-business-chief-attacks-harman/

If he was re-organising a political party from an unlected post, then a football club should not pose a problem.

More controversially this story appeared in the Daily Mail. It is not directly relevant but indicates that he is a man who 'ploughs his own furrow'

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1032629/Revealed-Brother-7-7-bomber-gets-free-gap-year-trip-****stan.html

I've been looking into something else and your forum came up on my radar and I couldn't resist adding to your thread.

I'll come back if I turn anything up of interest.

PS I hear Lord Mandelson has a devastating right foot.

Could we not get an on-line Q&A session set up with our up and coming Z list celeb? Put an end or confirm all of the wonderful stories on this thread?

I think Mandelson is more of a left footer.

No, the speculation will likely be much more interesting than the truth. What a shame it would be if he turned out just to be a really poor signing whose dad has a contact.

To all the crictics out there,
Firstly this guy is a fantastic person on and off the pitch, his footballing knowledge is the best i know of.
I believe he may make it as a pro footballer(not at the highest standard though) he isnt going to be a Cristanio Ronaldo, he will however go on to manage/coach top clubs in england.
He has an incredible amount of potential, and is psychologically very strong. I have experienced Slowe's teamtalks before, during and after matches. He has a unique way of making average players become very good players on the pitch. This is all to do with psychological boost, he is a extremely talented individual.
It wouldn't surprise me if he stays at Northampton for years to come, when Sammo resigns, Slowe will be apponited as Manager. He may even get tapped up before then by higher league clubs, i really hope not though. Slowe will bring back to back promotions for Northampton without fail. Personally i would love to see the Northants in championship or maybe prem one day, only one man can bring this, and thats Slowe.

This is not the last you will hear of Alistair Slowe. Mark my words he will manage top clubs, but will need his bits of luck on the way to making that dream.

Believe in this young man, he is special.
