Well thats 13 in assuming 1 for the team is in for £5 , so we are over half way . C'mon folks lets get this done in the next couple of days ,then I can make the arrangements. The lucky winner not only gets to meet Alistair and have a photo with him  , you get a signed NTFC football and 2 x tickets to the game and 2 x players lounge passes , for the match when you have the presentation (usually a choice of 3 games). It's quite a good prize foe a £5 gamble!

Would the money be better used sponsoring a youth team player, you know, somebody who actually has a chance of playing or making even the slightest of impact at the club?

Surely his old man should be sponsoring him along with paying his wages.

Ralph, the money just goes into the general pot to pay for every thing , like Ryan Jarvis' wages . So if we had raised this £120 a few weeks ago we could have kept Jarvis for another 2 weeks  Grin

I'd have thought a youth team player would have been a more deserving case. Couldn't Slowes Dad have sponsered him.

Agreed.

I'd happily chip in to sponsor a youth teamer or even a deserving first teamer but Slowe? You're joking aren't you?

Dont waste your money, buy some 50/50 tickets with the chance to get fat on mcDonalds, or shag a celebrity Cobblers fan (Ashley Ingram from the pop group Imagination or Jo Wiley) for 2nd prize

Ha ha - Thanks for free publicity on 50/50 but I do wonder why you bother posting on here? As you stated you've only been to one game in 12 months (v Lincoln on Monday I beleive) and prefer the test card, most odd.

ANYWAY ONTO THE TOPIC: I will put in a fiver for this worthy cause. So what if he dines out on this, its fun AND neccessary to help club funds. All goes into the same pot - money never goes to players so a YOUTH team player will benefit from whole event.

IMO whoever wins should NOT have just their name recorded in programme but written as "Hotel End Fans Forum" - sorry if this has been agreed already?

You will only get fat if you do not follow a carefully calorie-controlled diet.

Do you know that for sure Phil because I don't think you are right. I was told by the youth set up people themselves that they are totally self funding and any player sponsorship is spent on the youth system. That is most definately not the same pot.

Youth people have to find their own money is what I was told also. Then the player gets sold and it goes into the clubs pot.

For all of you who would rather help the youth team , it just so happens that i'm running a race night on friday 28th January at Earls Barton WMC , where ALLthe money raised goes to the youth set up at NTFC.
There are races up for sponsorship (£25) for that you get acknowledgment on the NTFC Trust page, the Trust page in the programme and also on the night PLUS 2 x West Stand tickets for NTFC v Crewe Alex , which is the next home match after the race night.
Or you could have a race sheet and sell the horses to your friends & work mates , the horses sell at £1 (winer gets £5), £2 (Wins £10) or £5 (wins £25). Or you could buy yourself a horse which i'll be selling in the Tavern and Carlsberg Bar before the Oxford game . Or you could come over to Earls Barton WMC on the evening , its a good night and the beers cheap , including some real ales
As I said all the money from this goes to the youth set up and we usually get Sean Parrish and a few of the lads over to the event
