The end to a very bizarre saga. To think he was on the bench that night at Anfield too..... Shocked

Is that report on the official site the shortest ever , not quite 4 lines!
Its depressing times at NTFC at the moment , first a true legend that is Sammo leaves and then a true leg end that is Slowe leaves , where is it going to end ?

They actually sat Slowe down and put a contract in front of him without wondering if he could play football? Most embarrasing signing in the history of the club undoubtedly

At least Alistair leaves knowing that the fans , on this message board , liked him so much we desided to sponsor him. Bit like GJ reading that we wanted him as manager  Smiley

Wasn't this akin to the team (can't remember who it was) a few seasons back who allowed a supporter to be signed on and come on in injury time as a prize in a competition?

Anybody who could persuade silly buggers to write 27 pages about him must have got something right.

We never saw him play, how can you say that? He'll be playing for Real Madrid in 12 months' time, I'm telling you now! Wink

Does that mean that we were actually paying him?

That does speak volumes. Where is the 'We'd like to thank Alistair for all his efforts whilst riding the pine and for keeping some of our real footballers company whilst warming up, and we wish him well for the future' spin?

Do we still have a Classics section on this messageboard? If so, this thread has to be a candidate.
