Did wrigleys get a signed shirt when he met Slowe after being drawn out of hat for the shirt sponsorship? Put it on ebay when he hits the big time!  Grin

Alas no - got a signed football though, any offers?

I'm amazed that the club and the BBC managed to find two different pictures of him actually playing football, although in the BBC picture he looks a little surprised to be playing to say the least....  Undecided

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/northampton_town/9421486.stm

Still, he will always have a special place in my heart....

Should this not be moved to the non-Cobblers, non-other sport section?

Des O'Connor, the most famous Cobbler never to pull on the shirt. Slowe, the most infamous. Unlucky son, Jim couldn't quite fix it for you.

I just saw the headline on the OS and said "well, at least you know it's never been worn".  Then I read the article; they even describe it as unworn!  Grin Grin

Went for £31! Who bought this?  Cant wait to see who he signs for next... My guess is that he'll be turning out for Amagents FC in Botswana League Division 2 later this year!!

Another big smile on my face. I always get the big decisions right.

Couldn't be happier, you can all blame me if it turns pear shaped. Up next year without a doubt and no need of the play-offs.
