Kettering had to wear away kit tonight as didn't have cash to pay launderette for washing home kit. Players not paid. Crowd of 232. Won 3-0.

The following was just tweeted by John Dunham the sports reporter for the evening telegraph

BREAKING NEWS: Ritchie Jeune @RitchieJ72 has just revealed on twitter that he's been banned from Nene Park for 'non-payment of sponsorship'

For those of you who don't know, @RitchieJ72 was chairman of KTFC for one week before he was removed by the club's shareholders, who described him as only a 'volunteer' despite him being involved in the running of the club.

304 fans watching Kettering at Nene Park, whilst 1157 watch Rushden at Hayden Road. Who'd have thought that 2/3 years ago?!

Sad to see really.....they were one of the biggest non-league clubs.....shame to see them clinging on to a hopeless cause like this.
The move to Nene Park was a resounding success wasn't it? They only open one stand for their games these days.......

This is genuinely sad to see. It's like a death by a thousand cuts for them but fair play to them for fighting to the end. You have to admire the 304 that turned up today and also the ten players who turned out despite not being paid.

Didn't it all start going wrong with Ladec and Gazza?

It was never ever going to work, they might as well have folded at the Wickies meeting rather than vote to move to Irthlingborough.

Agreed, they're no better than Franchise, moving from the place that holds their name to Irthlingborough, just because they were promised a nice, shiny stadium (which they'd spent two decades absolutely hating) and a slightly better chance of League football. They threw away a great 139-year history of senior football in Kettering to do exactly what they criticised the Dim fans for doing - glory hunting. They deserve what is happening, although it's not nice to see players and creditors get shafted repeatedly.

From Jon Dunham's (football reporter for the evening telegraph) twitter feed

More news from KTFC tonight. Former player @OzzyRadford saying the club tried to hold back his registration to stop him signing elsewhere...

As if the reputation of KTFC wasnt in tatters already something like this comes out. Either get it sorted or let it go. It's gone too far

So @OzzyRadford had to call the FA to get them to cancel his registration. Beyond ridiculous #ktfc

We're having to get used to playing with only ten men as well just recently?  Tongue

The electricty has been cut @ Nene Park & so has the light @ the end of the tunnel so it seems.looks like Northants will have another fans run team from next season following on from AFC R&D

If tonights game does go ahead then there is a glimmer of hope as there is a potential buyer who wants to buy the club and Nene park. Some Poppies fans want any new owner to move the club back to Rockingham road as Nene park cost to much to run for a non league club.

The Fat lady is not only singing but is touching herself at the same time.

Kettering have called off their game tonight due to player unavailability - they could only muster 6 apparently.

Very sad indeed, It. Seems that the 2000 fans that once supported the club have abandoned them because they dislike the chairman, ladak so much. Bit like cutting their noses off to spite faces! Hopefully the present chair does one so someone else can pick up the pieces of what's left of this once proud club.

To be fair the general perception of what is going on is very very wrong. SouthBeds...you talk about them not supporting the club because of the chairman etc. If you had gone on Saturday, the money would have disappeared. Simples. Probably in the direction of the landlord. Because the landlord is the only person who gets paid.

What particularly saddens me is that the fan base 'as a a whole' had supported Ladak until only very very recently. They agreed with the move to Nene Park for starters which completely split the support base in two. Some of the more prominent people there have continued to be hoodwinked by him, even as recently as last month. It is quite unbelievable. They never got a grip with the issues hitting them in the face, and never united behind a common strategy to combat them. Anybody who disagreed got shouted down, the Supporters Trust has been unbelievably naieve throughout the whole period of decline. Now that they know this they are defensive and as such the vicious circle continues, the fan base splits still further.

I actually tried to register on poppynet a couple of weeks ago, emailing 'joepoppy' who is the web master. I even offered him potential help with marketing material etc through my business, I genuinely meant it as well. I do my bit for our Supporters Trust. Didn't even get a reply let alone getting accepted. Its a supporters forum FFS! Yet even so, prominent supporters continue to resist any 'outside' help or advice. I guess they've had enough though, but a real shame. Hope they somehow pull through.
