I'm really saddened to see this happen. Although I've always been a Cobbler, I used to play football with Graham Carrs youngest lad Gary, and I'd watch Kettering regularly when teyn weren't playing. Also remember watching them at Nene Park whilst the stadium was still being built. R&D were rising through the non-league pyramid at speed. Now look at them both.

Tomorrow's game is off due to a lack of Electricity at Toytown.

Kettering Diamonds are nearly finished.

You've got Kettering Town FC playing in Irthlingborough and Kettering FC (the club set up by the disenfranchised fans after the move to Nene Park) playing in Raunds!!!  Shocked  Add to that Rushden playing in Wellingborough and the whole thing looks a bl**dy mess.

So they could be dumped out of the league later today. What a shocking state of affairs.

Kettering Town have got seven days to save themselves from being expelled from the Southern League. Their game this weekend is called off.

Maybe NTFC could show some compassion and let them play at sixfields until they sort themselves out, Its not as if were giving 'a sucker an even break' We don't have the marketing nous to promote the Cobblers in Northampton let alone the County.

It might be seen as a good gesture and we could reflect well out of it.

If they get 34 at 'home' when it's 6 miles away, what would they get when it's twice as far?

TBF that was a County Cup game in midweek. Who the hell goes to CC games?! 304 for their last home game is the figure that should be looked at. Probably the same amount that would travel to Sixfields. They'll be expelled on Wednesday anyway, they don't have a ground to play in, players to play for them, or any money to pay them. Apart from that they're fine...

Ladak has said they need to play somewhere else as the Nene Park electricity situation is 'complex' and only.certain people are capable of switching it back on....

What's complex? The electricity bill was unpaid to the power was cut off

It depends on who has the liability for the outstanding bill. Just because one tenant moves out it doesn't clear the property of debt. In theory it is down to the landlord to get it sorted for the incoming tenant by using what is left over from the deposit, but I have a feeling said landlord would be looking for some sort of guarantee from Kettering for this to happen.

And a crowd of 487, the highest in the Evo-Stik league, saw them fall to a last minute 0-1 defeat against Redditch.

Bearing in mind they are two leagues below Corby, the gate is pretty impressive compared to the Steelmens last crowd at the same ground, as only 237 turned up for Corbys win over Gloucester last week.

It's good to see that Corby are prepared to come to a deal for use of the ground for the time being. I suppose it's all going to come down to the price as they want a grand a game.
