We should start with it on Monday, we must win with Barnet, Stockport and Burton ALL winning today.
Dunn Nana Beckwith Tozer/Webster Davis
Walker Osman Jacobs
Harrad Bauza Mckenzie.
Bauza drops deep naturally anyway, so its more of a diamond with Osman sitting in front of the back four.
The difference in the 2nd half yesterday when we had the three up top and Walker and Jacobs pushing on is that when we got it forwards, it stayed up there because we had players in there to collect the knock downs even if we didn't win the first ball.
Lets get a few goals and than change it to protect the lead, not let them go ahead and then react this time!

Why try to predict? Who else saw the GJ genius of playing Tozer in midfield

I guess we can only hope we won't use another game to play players out of position and realise it's a dreadful decision.

Does the thought of trying and failing to protect the lead at Wycombe not occur to you? I have to disagree with your team selection in quite a few areas. Firstly, as far as I am aware, Dunn is still injured which rules him out, but regardless, Collis is the better keeper in my opinion, despite conceding 8 in 3 games, none of them were his fault, and stopped several more including some fine saves at Wycombe. However, I do agree with your back 4. The midfield is completely wrong. Firstly, Walker has been probably our worst player on this winless run, and what a coincidence that it has been since he joined (excluding Crewe at home) and he's played in every game. Additionally, Osman has not played well recently either. Whereas in the first half of the season I'd have given him Player of the year, now I am not sure as he does not have the attitude to fight for us, as shown at the start of the season by the contract fiasco he'd rather be playing elsewhere. After Wedderburn's fine showing against Burton away, I'd have expected him to play at Wycombe, but no. Then, after Osman was crap at Wycombe, GJ played Tozer in midfield last night instead. Does he not get on with Wedderburn or something? Additionally, if John Johnson can recover from his injury, I'd like to see him in midfield as well. GJ seems to like playing Nana, and JJ is very forward thinking and can tackle well, so he could easily become a midfielder, and would show a lot of fight. Jacobs is a safe bet to start. Finally onto the strikers. I agree with Bauza and McKenzie, but Harrad has shown several times that whilst he can score a penalty, he lacks the confidence or composure to score from open play, so it might be time to give him a rest. Uwezu on the other hand, looked very quick when he came on, and was a shame to see him subbed. If he can recover from the knock he recieved, then he should start over Harrad. My XI: Collis Nana - Beckwith - Webster/Tozer - Davis JJ/Osman - Wedderburn - Jacobs Uwezu/Harrad - McKenzie - Bauza

I would go
Collis Johnson Webster Beckwith Davis Jacobs Wedderburn Osman Holt Bauza McKenzie
I think Wedderburn and Osman would provide the best shield for a very leaky defence. Johnson and Holt would both be in for their work rate and set piece ability with both scoring a number of goals this season. McKenzie must start so I'd drop Harrad who has struggled for goals having him on the bench if Leon couldn't last. It would be a big strong team which should be dangerous from corners free kicks and Holt's long throws.

Harrad was hardly struggling for goals before the Rotherham game, he had scored 3 in 2 games going into Fridays game!

Johnson is very unlikely to be fit to play.

As Marvo seems to have gone here's the stats for our strikers not including penalties as anybody could be the penalty taker and showing how many points these goals have gained us had they not been scored. Harrad 15 apps 3 goals 0 points gained Bauza 7+1 apps 3 goals 3 points gained Mckenzie 16+10 apps 9 goals 5 points gained McKay 30+9 apps 8 goals 4 poins gained I'm not saying Harrad is a bad player, I like his work rate and of we were playing 3 up front I wouldn't be against him starting, but he has missed a number of good chances in the last 2 games and for me McKenzie & Bauza would be our most dangerous front two.

i agree. I think harrad has to be dropped. I'd go for 3 centre backs as well and 2 wing backs. We cant defend set plays and stockport have 2 big donkeys up front. Collis. Jacobs. Tozer. Beckwith. Webster. Davis. Osman. Holt. Bauza. Mckay. Mckenzie.

No not everyone can take a penalty, so it is ridiculous your not including penalties. The top scorers doesn't say top scorers (not counting penalties) F*ck me poor bloke. He can't win with fans like you. He scores the penalty it doesn't matter because anyone can take one apparently, but if he misses I bet you'll be first in line to have a go at him.

Was told this afternoon from a source admittedly second or third hand (but to be fair he is close to the mark on most occasions) that the likely team for tomorrow is.......... Collis
Nana Tozer Beckwith Rogers
Bauza Walker Osman Jacobs
McKenzie Harrad

Lets hope that back 4 want a football career. They will have my full support tomorrow if that really is the case but i would be gobsmacked if that was the lineup.

McKenzie Harrad Might no be that far off the mark. Webster could well be injured. Davis perhaps is too attack minded to play at LB in such a crucial game.
