I remember watching Ed 'Stewpot'  Stewart's Celebrity X1 play a charity match in I think Bugbrooke in the early seventies. Young Ed played in goal and was kind enough to give me his autograph at half time. I have no idea who Ed and his celebrity chums were playing though or indeed which other celebs were in his team. Needless to say it was a fun day out for all the family.

I did that in the office on Friday and got one response from someone who was of a similar vintage...looking at some of his early photo's, it appears as if Alan Partridge modelled himself on him... Grin
