I remember watching Ed 'Stewpot'  Stewart's Celebrity X1 play a charity match in I think Bugbrooke in the early seventies. Young Ed played in goal and was kind enough to give me his autograph at half time. I have no idea who Ed and his celebrity chums were playing though or indeed which other celebs were in his team. Needless to say it was a fun day out for all the family.

You know you are getting old when it's the end of the week at work and you look at your watch and shout "It's Friday and it's five to five and it's..." and everyone just looks at you like you've gone mad.

I did that in the office on Friday and got one response from someone who was of a similar vintage...looking at some of his early photo's, it appears as if Alan Partridge modelled himself on him... Grin

Didn't necessarily agree with him but a lot of his music was excellent.  R.I.P. David Bowie...

Bowie  Cry

I always remember a friend of mine who completely blew my mind when he played a Bowie track to me for the first time. I think it was Tiger Feet.

Sad news, another one of those voices that you only associate with cricket... R.I.P.
