Jimmy Greaves has gone aged 81. Very sad. What a goal scorer! I saw him play once against Sunderland. Spurs won 5-1 and Greavsie scored 4. A legend.
One of my claims to fame, Jimmy Greaves told me to **** off ! The Cobblers played at Brentwood in the FA Cup back in the early 1970's and after the game we were in their clubhouse when I spotted Jimmy Greaves, So I asked him to sign my programme and that's when he told me to go away.
Looking back, that was probably his "Prime Time" as a drinker and he didn't want to waist it by signing autographs !!!

Having done some work on someones  vehicle in Corby, we went inside to sort out the paperwork. his coc katoo took one look at me, and told me to phuck off. With a heavy Glaswegian accent. That doesnt happen every day.

Alan Lancaster bass player of Quo has died aged 72. He played with them when they were a rock band until they became a joke. Deepcut will be upset.

I was fortunate enough to have met Roger Hunt quite a few times at his haulage company in Warrington. He never minded chatting about football. Lovely guy. RIP Roger.
