Loved watching him bowl for Northants, a master of his craft.

Back in the day the County had so many quality players, Mushtaq, Ambrose, Lamb, Kumble etc.

Bishen Bedi was the Shane Warne of the time. R I.P.
We also had Sarfraz Nawaz, Roy Virgin, Peter Willey and David Steel in the County side during those times. We had a decent side in those days.
I went to school with Roy Virgins son...

Bishan lived on Bankside, Links View a few doors away from Mushtaq Mohammad. Both were test captains of India and ****stan respectively, and I was at Kingsthorpe Grove with both their sons. Minor claim to fame, but I’ll take it.

Alcoholic. Saw him on the Graham Norton show a few years back, looked awful. Terrible waste.

Terry Venables dead at 80.

Euros 96 was one my absolute times of my life. Young, carefree doing what I wanted. And the football was going well for a change.

Thanks for the memories.
