I didn't realise that she was a singer, I asked my daughter to name me some of her songs and I still didn't realise that she was a singer!
R.I.P. Amy. you were someone's daughter, but a warning to anyone who gets involved in the wacky stuff, don't..

Its a shame the public has almost forgotten about the Norway disaster amid reports of Amy Winehouse's self imposed death.

Quite right - currently 5 of the top 10 stories on the BBC news site are about Amy Winehouse. 2 are about the Norway attacks.

She had numerous opportunities to get help and refused them. She even wrote a song about refusing them ffs. She brought it upon herself, and it's a disgrace that the events in Norway are being overshadowed and shunted out of the news by this.

OK, the Kerry Katona gag was in bad taste but I won't be shedding any tears for Amy Winehouse, I'm afraid.  It's purely self inflicted, despite repeated efforts of her friends and family to help her.  With all the suffering in the world, people like her that willfully **** their lives down the drain don't deserve any tears.

Amy Winehouse had an addiction to drugs anybody with an addiction is asking for trouble. I lost a good friend through drug addiction, he knew all his friends wanted him to sort his addiction put but alas he lost his fight against his addiction. I miss him terribly but have found myself wanting to help people addicted to drugs rather than to chastise them...
one final thought, would she have written the same material if she was clean of drink/drugs?

wrong.

one day she was anonymous and the next, literally the very next day, she couldnt leave her house to buy a pint of milk without 100s of paps taking her picture, pointing their cameras through her living room window. herorin puts you in a bubble where everything outside of it doesn't matter. in her situation im not surprised she wanted a way ot of that. heroin, the bubble, was her way out and her way to get away from the f/cking mentalness that got thrust upon her. I saw her a couple of times, the 2nd was at glastonbury 0 or whenever Jay z was there. luckily she played my favourite song of hers (My Tears Dry On Their Own) 2nd or 3rd when she was still with it, so that sounded good. After that she went downhill rapidly. Shame, big voice, great talent, couldnt cope with it. I actually have used the example of winehouse to my mum about why people do drugs, to get away from the s*** in their lives for a few hours. And it actually made her understand as well which surprised me as she'd always been roughy anti before that

Call my Bluff was one of my favourite shows back in the 70's, with Frank Muir and Patrick Campbell captaining and Robert Robinson in the chair. Happy days.

Another big smile on my face. I always get the big decisions right.

Couldn't be happier, you can all blame me if it turns pear shaped. Up next year without a doubt and no need of the play-offs.
