Hello everyone

Hope you are enjoying the summer (we won't talk about the World Cup).  It is hard to believe that the new season is less than a month away now.  Here is some HotelEnders news for the coming season;

Poll
Here is the annual HotelEnders Poll for last season, get your votes in as soon as possible

Player of the Season

Goal of the Season

Best ground visited

Worst ground/sh*tehole visited

Best pub

Best opposition

Worst opposition

NTFC performance of the season

NTFC worst performance of the season

Donkey of the season

Funniest moment of the season

Biggest Disappointment – Cobblers not getting promoted or England’s failure in the World Cup?

New season
I can't wait to play

Fixture to miss?

Signing of the summer

Who will be next season’s hero?

Deadline
The deadline for the first issue of the season is Sunday 8th August (after the opener at Torquay) and the issue will be first on sale on Saturday 14th August (Accrington at home).

Blog
I had a couple of suggestions about putting HotelEnders online and I felt the best way would be to do a blog, so here it is - www.hotelenders.blogspot.com.  It needs some work but I will be adding some old classic articles on there and some topics for discussions.  Please let me know your feedback as I appreciate there is a lot of online Cobblers these days.

Printing
I am looking for a new printer of the fanzine, at the moment I get really good rates which means I can keep the cost at £1 per issue and support some wonderful charities (including Help for Heroes, YMCA and Cancer Research).  If anyone knows where I can get the fanzine printed quickly and cheaply, let me know.

Player of the Season- John Johnson

Goal of the Season- Seb Harris vs Cheltenham. Mostly for the celebration that followed. Grin

Best ground visited- Not gonna go for the obvious ones everyone else has picked, so...I liked Burton, very tidy little set-up, modern yet with the good old-fashioned bits incorporated, and decent facilities- ie food, toilets etc.

Worst ground/sh*tehole visited- Not difficult, Rotherham by a country mile.

Best pub- in 12 months when I am of drinking age I will be able to provide an answer. Tongue

Best opposition- Notts County

Worst opposition- Grimsby

NTFC performance of the season- Bournemouth (a)

NTFC worst performance of the season- Notts County (a)

Donkey of the season- Gary Mulligan

Funniest moment of the season- Fleetwood fans and their delusions. Singing things like "what's it like to see a crowd", "1-1 in your cup final" and sarcastically applauding when the stadium announcer read out an attendance of about 3,100 (three times what they get at home). I don't even think they were joking either. Everybody on here was gushing in their praise for the Fleetwood fans after that game but I thought they were a bunch of knobheads.

Biggest Disappointment – Cobblers not getting promoted or England’s failure in the World Cup?-
England. Purely because everyone had written the Cobblers off by November and were talking about relegation so to be up there at the end of the season was a bonus. Whereas England, I don't think anyone was expecting them to do that badly.

New season
I can't wait to play- Stevenage away

Fixture to miss?- Southend away, as they'll have gone bust by then and it would be a wasted journey. And even if they're still in business, Roots Hall is still a s***hole.

Signing of the summer- Tadhg Purcell

Who will be next season’s hero?- Liam Davis, if he stays fit. Or maybe Konstantinou who looks like he's ready to burst onto the scene and make a big impression.
