In all seriousness...GJ is definitely looking at bringing in a combative central midfielder to fill in Gilligan's/Osman's shoes, and have heard the names Matthew Gill and Gavin Williams mentioned.

Someone didn't like being beaten to starting this thread ...what happened to june onwards? merged it for the sake of 4/5 days so you could start it again more like I heard a midfielder we're looking at is someone who GJ worked with at Yeovil, i don't know anyhting about the yeovil team and don't want to go digging, so anyone got any ideas?

Would be happy with these either one of these two or even both! I think GJ worked with Williams at Yeovil!

Yes he was with GJ at Yeovil and he then signed him for 100K for Bristol City from Ipswich in the Championship so must rate him highley!

I think he has been on loan at Walsall this season so we may get him on season long loan?

Gill is out of contract and unlikely to be retained at Norwich. He's been on loan at two League One sides this season, one of which was Gary Johnson's Peterborough. An experienced campaigner coming to the end of his career but probably with a couple of years left in the tank at League One/Two level. Definitely gettable.

Johnson apparently down in Bristol... http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.php?/topic/96758-gary-johnson/Rovers think he's coming down to apply for their managerial postion. Gavin Williams might make sense. EDIT: There's a four page thread on their forum spectulating he's about to join them. Jeeze. Apparently him being under contract is not a consideration.

I think what GJ should be doing is looking through all the players who are out of contract at Plymouth, and if any of them are decent, then Plymouth won't be in a position to keep them so we should snap them up.
I think NZ internation Rory Fallon is out of contract there as well as Oxford loanee Steve MacLean...

Do Plymouth have any decent players anymore? I appreciate that its also due to a points deduction but why would we want to take any players who have just had a poor season and gone down? Remember, Leeds and Southampton have both proved you can stay up even when you start on minus points.

Why would he leave us for a club in the same division, on a similar budget, and where the fans might not be very welcoming of him?
