It appears that we tried to sign Jo Kuffor on deadline day but it came to nothing - however Rovers still want him out so we could perhaps get him in on loan?

According to the Rovers forum they think it is nailed on he will sign for Orient on loan.

Unfortunately you're probably right as Orient is in London, which is where he has said he wants to be playing - would've liked us to have signed him.

I think Corkers a good left back, you don't notice he's there, potential to be a Peter Gilbert type player, still young.

I think theres potential in there somewhere with Corker, however I just think to steady the ship a few experienced loans over a sustained period may help and bringing in someone like Griffiths for example may give Corker some decent competition and they can also help to share their knowledge of what it takes to be a successful left back in the lower leagues.

I'd agree on the last couple of comments about Corker. He looked shocking in pre season and I was really worried about the LB slot. Then in the first two games he played really well (which seems a long while ago now, but we did actually keep clean sheets with him in the side, remember). He then had a couple of howlers and his confidence now seems shot, which is why I was particularly annoyed when he suffered the ignominy of being subbed on and then off on Tuesday. There's potential there, but he needs nurturing until his confidence is back, not being very publicly humiliated.
I'd hold off getting another LB in for now anyway. Tozer looked good there on Tuesday, so I'd give him a try for a couple of games before getting anyone else in.

Has potential, but caught out of position way too often.

That would account for why he batted him out on a season-long loan to Chesterfield - where he was that crap, he won a Div 2 Championship medal. I think if we put out a side full of players that he thinks are crap, we might get some results......

From what I've heard today, the interest in Kuffour was genuine, but we didn't actually make a firm offer.

Burton have got Robbie Kozluk and another experienced centre back training with them, we should really try and sign them up

Okay, I give up. I don't want to be part of this anymore.
