I just got my renewal quote for house and building insurance from Churchill who wanted £156, up £36 from last year. I rang them to say I wasn't happy and they offered me a loyalty bonus, bringing the price down to £131. I said I'd try a comparison site. Anyway I got the same level of cover in the end for £117 and guess who with?

Yep, Churchill. Daft isn't it.

I work in insurance and yes it is daft, very very daft.

Alot of the time its best to use comparison sites anyway. Simplest thing to do is not insure anything with Direct Line and you'll be fine  Grin

9 times out of 10 at renewal I always say I am going somewhere else and they will then undercut the competitor by a £1 or so regardless of what they had offered in the renewal.

Do you know what "Nemesis" means?

A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.
