I have written to the chairman today asking for his views on producing a sub brand 1897 which would deliver plain and simple casual wear for "the supporter who chooses not to look like a member of the first team squad!"
Let's see what happens...it maybe that the number of items required to be designed/set up/produced would prove too many vs the risk of not selling them all. That would need to be looked at very carefully I'm sure.

Is it Swindon that sell a personalized version of Fifa 11? I would love to see Harrad and Bayo on the front of Fifa 12  One of Swindon's shirt sponsors are EA Sports, so it is likely that this is part of the partnership between them. I'd prefer to see Jacobs on there to Harrad though. |

Decent badges for lads..ie not pathetic rosettes ffs! Woman in club shop, tried to palm me off with..' it's difficult to print'...till I pointed out that every other club in the League seems to produce subtle but smart ones!  Other than that, nothing...oh except NTFC draining board covers in a hard plastic mould (claret of course) or maybe NTFC sink plugs..but not too big! |

But at the end of the day a lot of it has to do with the kit provider and what gear they peddle. I would think that there should be a focus group with some people with taste on it to decide what gets bought in.
p.s If you have a good idea why not get them made yourself i.e. the towels and get the shop to stock them?

I see Sat Banana has written to Chairman direct (good move) so that will be interesting chat over Cardoza breakfast table as she is 1/c stock control. Apparently we lost loads on unused stock in previous seasons. As 50+ with mates of all ages we all thought range last season was excellent. Unfortunately it's such good quality I still wear kit from 10 years ago! The Kev Wilson hooped rugby shirt, wembley era kit etc!! |
