Don't believe in them per se, but have been told about one strange happening when I was a toddler that made me wonder. Soon after we moved into a new house when I was about 18 months old, I kept crying and wouldn't go to sleep at night, constantly complaining that a man in old-fashioned clothes with a top hat was watching me- apparently I described him in a fair bit of detail considering my age. We moved out of that house when I was 3 and I never saw said man again. It was only several years later when we were talking to the landlord that it turned out the man who I was describing sounded remarkably like the previous owner of the house who'd sold it to the landlord about 5 years before we'd moved in and died soon after. My dad insists I was describing the fat controller from Thomas the Tank Engine and doing it for attention and I'm more inclined to believe that than believe that I was seeing a ghost. But it's just one of those things that makes me wonder, and I'm open minded to it. I think everyone experiences something like that, something they can't quite explain, at some point in their lives, that just makes them wonder, even if they don't believe in ghosts.

Nah don't believe in it at all. Humans have been living on the planet for far too long to not have evidence of ghosts.

I can't be 100% certain, but a few times last season I saw the ball pass through our defence as if they weren't there. It was frightening

Are you Karl Pilkington by any chance? At 18 months old you were telling your parents that an old man was watching you and then describing the clothes he was wearing, and even managed to point out his clothes were old fashioned?? Biggest load of tosh I've heard! Head like a f***ing orange...

Dr Harold's old place has cause to be haunted.

Tyro
|
I used to work night shift in a Listed basement & one morning while on duty I was in the basement & suddenly it felt like someone had grabbed me by my ankles & dropped me to the floor.
For a while as I lay there I felt a great weight on my chest & a buzzing sound in my ears & I was unable to move or get up & call out to someone.
Once back upstairs other said to me that I looked as white as a sheet.
|
Do you know what "Nemesis" means?
A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.

Why was I looking for the punchline?

Not a ghost as such but I had a surreal experience last year at an old rental cottage in Stowe on the Wold. Me and the missus were having dinner in the dining room and there was a solid dining room chair standing against the opposite wall about 5 feet behind me. The chair fell forward on its own accord landing just behind me. There was no one else in the house and my wife saw it fall forward from behind me. We both laughed as it was just bizarre and I spent the rest of the evening trying to reconstruct how it happened and what caused it, as I was sceptical (and still am, although slightly less so) about anything supernatural. I checked the chair, the legs, the wall and couldn't work out any logical explanation. I still think it was some kind of Scooby Doo style set up by a mischievious owner but I can't lie, I slept with one eye open that night.

Isnt The Shipmans supposed to be haunted?
Have been a few odd sorts in there im sure. I swear on my life that place is haunted. If I had more money and was more interested in ghost hunting etc I would definatly spend more time in The Shipmans Pub. My mate used to work late shifts on Friday nights there and after he counted up the till at night after closing we went into the lounge upstairs for some food and dvds with the lads. However he took me on a tour of the place including going downstairs into the cellar which led into the underground tunnels into Northampton, going up the Drapery and into the attic upstairs which was a cold, horrible place. Anyway basically one night I was going back downstairs to the bar to go across to McDonalds to get a burger and something for my mate. As I was going to make my way down the stairs a door across the landing opened slowly and wide open. As soon as that happened, that was it. I was back in the room with all my mates and we all checked it out. We went back and the door was still open, one of my mates was mad enought to go in and inside it was an empty cupboard about 4ft by 4ft so small. No vents or windows nearby .. spooky stuff ! Also had other experiences of cups ending up in different places in the old kitchen weird !!! He doesnt work there anymore and thank god P.S I didnt drink that night lol
