Can I just ask for the rationale behind the apparent new policy of joining together threads of similar content to make one giant thread?
I can understand if we've just signed a player and three seperate threads have started(Although even in this situation one thread tends to take charge naturally and become THE thread)
However, when you are joining together a post on Bayo's return with one on him leaving 12 months earlier it becomes a bit more awkward. A similar thing happened with Chris Dunn leaving as well.
For a start the post is under the older name and is therby different to the one I am looking for. Secondly it contains 40 or 50 pages, most of which is completely irrelevent, and I have to wade through great masses of it to find what I am looking for.
It is making the board a bit cumbersome to use, and in my short sighted wisdom I cannot see the real benefit of it.

Search bar facility! Very underrated!

But isn't it just easier to just not join them in the first place?
What's the benefit of joining them?

Moved.
To..... where nobody will ever see it. Good work fella. Good moderating.
Who complained about multiple threads anyway?
On the Bayo one, there's about 20 pages of stuff from last summer up to August, then half a dozen posts in November 2010 then a jump to May this year and another 20 pages.
Surely the problem with multiple threads is that it makes it difficult and time consuming to navigate the board and view the relevent information. I fail to see how joining together relatively unrelated threads into great, giant, behemoth threads solves the problem.

If you click on the merged thread it will only take you to the last post that you had read. If you want to find something that, for example was written last year, you have to go through umpteen pages to find that particular thread. This way, all of the posts/threads specifically relevant to that player or topic are grouped in one. Hopefully it prevents the same topic/subject being discussed more than once and improves your ability to find something about the same topic/subject easier than previously.. It’s all in an attempt to improve the board. Stating that you have to trawl through loads of posts to get to where you were last is moaning for the sake of moaning which is typical of a number on this board.

All seems fair enough.
I aint moaning for the sake of it though. I genuinely find it harder to use. I'm just not as slick a navigator of the site as most I guess.
