It's good to see Purcell notch his first goal in a claret shirt, also great that we have a youth teamer coming into the side and scoring against higher level opposition

agree Exe but sounded like Purcys goal was a tap in from about an inch out..

Jacobs skinned the left back and put a good ball in, which Purcell headed producing a good save
from the keeper, only for Purcell to put in the rebound.

We looked class in the first half, jacobs was quality and harris looked solid at the back with beckwidth.

Wedderburn dominated in midfield, gilligan was quiet but got into the game more in the second half.

The game change when guinan and herbert came on, they didn't really link up with anybody (herbert
in particular) and we started to look a bit tired towards the end.

Not sure anyone can really argue with feeling dissapointed at drawing with a Championship side. Still, capitulation in the last 20 is never nice.  And this technically makes us worse than Barnet.

First time I've seen Jacobs this pre-season, and I'm beginning to believe the hype. Class act.

We were bloody awful today. The players looked leggy with little desire to get stuck in. The front two were woeful, the midfield were poor and the defence looked desperate.Actually, that's a load of bollocks, because for the vast majority of  today's game we were quite simply superb in all departments, but I'm trying to stop myself getting too excited.
