Oxford City secured 2nd place and playoff berth at Hitchin yesterday. Excellent job by Mike Ford - and more so, the players given the massive fixture pile up (three games in a week).

Still awaiting AFC Totton v Bedford to find out who's up next...think either Cambridge City or Stourbridge. Stourbridge, would be especially difficult. Still, the Hoops eclipsing the Yellows from the Ghettos into representing Oxon in playoff fun!  Cheesy

Boston United finished their Blue Square North campaign with a 3-3 draw against Guiseley. The Pilgrims finished 11th overall, only 6 points above the relegation places though in what was a congested mid-table area.
Former Cobblers loanee and joint manager Lee Canoville will not have his contract renewed and therefore leaves the club, and also leave another former Cobbler, Jason Lee in sole managerial charge for the forthcoming season, an interesting one from a local point of view with Corby, Kettering and Brackley all potentially in the same league next year.

We'll find out this Thursday...City v Cambridge City (more likely) or Stourbridge. If City prevail, playoff final would see Oxford at home to Totton/Chesham on Sunday afternoon.  Wink

Strange goings on in the Southern League Central Division where Slough played their play off semi final last night despite not completing all of their regular season games. Last Saturdays final fixture was postponed, as was Tuesday attempt to get the game on. With Slough guaranteed second place the League made them play the play off last night instead which they duly lost to 5th place Bedworth!
