If auntie likes Heaven 17 then I recommend this band that he has probably already heard of: Ladytron - pseudo Scandinavian electronic pop

Hey Cockney, I haven't heard from Ladytron for yonks. Have the first 3 albums but nothing since. A great band but I'm still reeling from the Broadcast news and the loss of Mick Karn. Currently revisiting Cornershop's handcream for a generation and diggin' those feisty Sleigh Bells!

aren't ladytron from liverpool?!

So that's you, me and my brother who have even heard of The Ravenoettes then. Saw them in Oxford a couple of years ago playing the second room of The Zociac. In the main room that night? A Stone Roses tribute act. People of Oxford hang your heads in shame.

They had an album out in 2009 I think, Velocifero and they have now put out a best of I think.  The band are from Liverpool but the lead singer is Scandinavian I think, hence the pseudo-Scandi thing.

It is made by Roberts and cost £170 from Currys - see their website.  You can get radio from all over the world via your broadband, either plugged in or wifi.  She wanted it to be able to listen to her favourite French radio stations.  I can now get Cobblers (+ unfortunately Direones and Saints) commentary.

Yep, Indochine.  They usually play at the open air venue at the local wine festival in Colmar.
